Chapter 4- What is happening?

The Grier's lived next door so it wasn't long before I heard from Hayes. He put his name in my phone way before the kiss, so I'm questing he wanted it make it clear he liked me whether he made the move or not.

Me- hey cutie 😋

Hayes🐻😘😍😏- what's going on 😉

Me- watching some classic movie. You'll never guess😉😉

Hayes🐻😘😍😏- hmmm... is there a Troy and Gabriella in it? ;)

Me- oh how'd you know 😱

Hayes🐻😘😍😏-look out your window by your bedside table🌚

Me-oh my gosh. I see you! 😍☺️

Hayes🐻😘😍😏- I had to move some stuff, but it was definitely worth it to see you 😘

Me- this is so sweet 😪😘😍😘😘😘

Hayes🐻😘😍😏- id do anything to hold you again😔

Me- well I'm going out for a run tomorrow, care to join me bear 🐻?

Hayes🐻😘😍😏- we'll race. 😏loser has to kiss the winner 😘😽

Me- I'm in😽but be prepared to give me the best kiss ever 😼

At 7:30am I woke up and got a pair of navy running shorts with my monogram on them, a navy sports bra, and an old white cheer shirt from my old school. I slipped on my neon pink running shoes and threw my hair into a side braid. I put on minimal make up because I don't want Hayes seeing me all ratchet. powder, light eye shadow, eyeliner, and a little mascara. I put on deodorant and my Abercrombie perfume and I was done.

I gave him a wake up call but to my surprise he was wide awake and tying his shoe laces.

At 8 we met outside our houses. I ran up to him and gave him a bear hug. he kissed me on my cheek and I blushed.

We walked and talked all the way to the front of the neighborhood. Once we got there I said "Catch me if you can!" and I was off to a minimal run. He caught up with me and we ran together at a steady pace.

We saw the upcoming playground which is where we would stop. I sped up and I made it there first.

"Ha, way to show up a football player", I joked. He came in a few seconds after me but I still won.

"Where's my prize?" I asked him.

That's when he climbed up in the tree and grabbed me and pulled me up. I giggled and went along with it.

"I am a ninja! A love ninja. and I'm all yours" he said in a fake Chinese accent.

"Where is my prize love ninja?" I said pointing at my lips and playing along with the Chinese theme.

That's when he leaned in and a gave me a giant kiss. It lasted for so long. I bet it was about a minute long maybe longer. We pulled out of it at the same time and I said "that was so worth beating your butt!" I said jokingly.. but it really was worth it.

"Well I want a rematch. Same prize. Match starting..... NOW!" he said.

He jumped out of the tree and held his arms out for me to fall in them. I fell and I landed in his arms bridal style and he fell... on purpose I knew.

So there we were. laying in the grass, his arms still wrapped around me and I said "why do we need to race, you can just go ahead and give me my prize now" I say.

Hayes yawned. "Fine by me... but I do know I would've beat you fair and square. So maybe I deserve that one from you now. He looked in my eyes and waited for my response.

There we were face to face. I thought to myself of the Little Mermaid song. and I went for it. I was kissing Hayes Grier.. we lasted there about a minute when I pulled away. We probably could've gone a long time but I felt our relationship wasn't there yet.

"The taste of victory. Even better with you here and giving me my victory" he said with a wink.

I blush and I'm a cherry again. Hayes says he likes it when I blush. He says it lets him know he is doing stuff right.

After laying there for a long hour of talking about nothing and making silly jokes Hayes stood up and stretched and extended his hand out for me to grab. We walked hand in hand back to our houses.

At the front steps of my house I gave him another bear hug and he kissed me on the cheek and said "see you later Princess".

I ran up the stairs and went inside the house. It was Sunday. Church was later in the evening. I had all the rest of the day to text Hayes and help my mom prepare for work tomorrow.
