Chapter 12- Football and Cheer

We walked and talked about random stuff as usually on the way to school. It didn't take long. When we got there I felt Hayes' hand get clammy. He was nervous.

"What's wrong bear?" I asked.

"Oh nothing just nervous for practice" he said.

"Well when you get nervous just think of that wonderful good luck kiss. and if your a good boy maybe you'll get more" I say.

"Ooo lala" he says playfully.

We walked up to the field and we were automatically swarmed with 20 guys. Hayes was the center of the team it looked like so when he started talking he had all ears and eyes on him.

"Hey boys meet Isabelle, she's new here and is on her way to cheer tryouts. Make her feel welcome, she's my girl. Look don't touch" he said to his team. His team mates made kissy faces at him and me and were calling out things like "Hayes has a girlfriend" "dang why couldn't I meet her before him". Then when the crowd died down we saw Noah and John. John grabbed my hand and kissed it like in those old films. I blushed.

The coach blew in his whistle and Hayes directed me toward the bench and he said he would come get me and take me to where the tryouts were in a minute.

I saw Hayes come running about 15 minutes into the practice. "I told coach you were new and needed to knew where to go" he said. I got up and went to grab his hand but he didn't hold back "not yet" he said.

Once we were off of the field he grabbed my hand and said "now is better." And we walked up to the cheer room.

"Hayes I feel like I'm going to puke" I say.

"Your gonna be perfect. Let me walk you in" he says.

He walks me in and I see 15 other girls in there stretching. I'm so nervous.

Once he walked me in he said "don't be nervous Isabelle". "You are true perfection and they'd be dumb if they didn't choose you." I gave him a hug and he kissed me on my cheek. "I'll be back here right when you're done."he assured me. I gave him another hug and he left. Here I was all alone.

I went over to the coach and introduced myself. She says that we were warming up tumbling and stretching now and she's happy to see me here.

I go over to a corner and stretch more. Hayes and I caught the attention of a couple people and they came over to me. "so you're the new Hayes Grier girlfriend are you?" A girl with short blonde hair and brown eyes asked. I nodded yes and she introduced herself as Ali. Another girl with brown hair and blue eyes like me introduced herself as Jordan. Than one girl with auburn hair said she was Mary. I think I found friends here. Good.

"Hayes is my neighbor and we met when his parents and him came over to my house to introduce themselves, I know Nash and Cameron to they are good friends of mine. " I said. "That's so cool your soo lucky" Jordan said. I thanked her and I asked "does anyone want to go warm-up some back hand springs with me?" I ask. they all raid their hand so we go over to the Matt and practice. The coach commends us for our perfect tunneling and writes something down on paper.

The tryouts start and there is only 20 girls here. "Write you name on this piece of paper and check whatever you're trying out for one check for basketball and one check for football if that's what you wish to do or just checked the one you want to do." Coach Amanda says. I check both boxes. "tumbling is not necessary, but it will help you in the long run with extra points"she said after. "And we will be starting this year so we need five fliers for stunts, five back spots and 10 bases." "Choose what you have Done before and are confident about, you can try out for more than one if you choose to do so just remember is my choice in the long run what you will be doing if you make the team" "we are looking for hard work, dedication, sportsmanship and spirit in tryouts" "you will learn the materials today and tomorrow and you will try out on Friday are we good?" Coach said. We all nodded. "Great, let the games begin."

We learn 2 cheers and a short dance. We must perfect it perfectly on Friday. and we will have stunt tryouts Friday aswell along with tumbling and flexibility show offs.

After learning all the material and practicing tryouts were over and I said bye to my new friends and got their numbers. It felt good having friends that were my boyfriends. I see Hayes and I run into his arms. "They went so great thank you for giving me the confidence to believe in myself Haysie" I said as I hugged him. "I knew you could do it all along baby" he said "let's go"i say.

We walk back and we stop at our tree and I talk to him for a while.

Hayes POV- i'm so happy that Isabelle had a good day at your tryouts, and I'm even happier that she thought I was a good boy and she said that we get to go to the tree. "wanna see my cheers bear?" se asks. I nod and she jumps down and shows me them for just learning them she was doing Them really perfectly. I clapped after the last one was done and i pulled her back up to the tree. She was so bright and so cute when she did her cheers it just made me happy.

Before we left I was really shocked to hear that she wanted to French. Especially with what happened yesterday at the beach.

"Princess where is my good boy present?"I say.

Than she leans into me and we French kiss. "French kissing was awesome and I'm so happy she wants to do it now. I love doing it. It just last so much longer and it's so fun" I think to myself.

"When we are done I say longest one yet my dear that had to have been 6 minutes long!" I say. She blushes.

"Well Hayes I just love you so much and I know you love doing it" she says. I nod and pucker up again our next one isn't French but it's still pretty good.

"Well hays are we just going to sit here and do this all day or are we actually going to go do something funer"she laughs.

"Well I was hoping we could do this all day" I say winking.

She jumped down and takes my hand and I jumped down with her and we walked back to her house.
