"What- what is-" Shiro couldn't speak, this wasn't possible.

They were currently standing on a cliff overlooking the vast expanse of sky blue stretched out in front of them.

Shiro could see storm clouds gathering on the far horizon if he could even call it that, because even squinting Shiro couldn't find the comfort of any other land mass besides the one they were standing on.

Looking down only made Shiro's head spin, but even that tiny glimpse before looking back up confirmed there wasn't any ground at the base of the cliff either, it just kept going, and going, and going.

"This shouldn't be possible." Shiro's voice only came out in a whisper now, and he was sure that it would've been unhearable if he hadn't remembered to speak up just a little bit more.

"Wherever we are," Keith spoke from beside him, and Shiro looked over at the teen being met with eyes that proved that he was also scared out of his mind at what he was seeing, "I don't think we're on Earth anymore."

The words echoed through Shiro's brain as he tried grasping at what Keith had just said to him.

This, this wasn't even remotely possible. So how was Shiro standing here? Did they die? He hoped not, otherwise, this was a pretty crappy afterlife so far. Was he dreaming?

He pinched himself just to make sure but was dismayed to find that the picture in front of them didn't change. They were still standing in front of nothing.

"Shiro, what do we do now?"

The man looked down at the teen again. It was obvious to tell that Keith's mind had been running circles even harder than Shiro's was at that point. Keith's eyes were filled with fear that looked slightly out of place sitting on the teen's face, but it was still abundantly clear what was scaring him so bad, and Shiro couldn't blame him one bit.

This wasn't even possible by Earth standards, which had to mean that they weren't even on Earth anymore.

Shiro just blew his own mind at that thought and his thoughts began spinning at what could have possibly sent them off to another planet. Were they in a completely different solar system? A different galaxy? Shiro had a hard time breathing at the next thought: Were they in a completely different universe altogether? What did he know about this particular subject? Nothing. That's right nothing, and he couldn't even think up what could possibly be next.

He felt the beginning throb of a headache coming on.

"Are- are you okay?" Keith's voice cut through Shiro's thoughts and he realized that somewhere in the middle of his mind rambling, he had sunk to the ground, the edges of his feet the only thing over the edge of the empty void of air in front of them, another slap to the face telling him where he was.

"I- I don't know," he answered honestly, and he really didn't. With this whole new variable thrown into the mix, Shiro now had no idea what to do from there. What could they do? Just wander along the edge and hope to find someone that would be willing to help them? If there were even people on the same planet as they were to help them? And even if that was the case, would they even be human?

That headache just turned into a full-fledged migraine with that thought.

Shiro knew, theoretically that there was always going to be two kinds of people in the world, (or, erm, worlds): the good kind and the bad kind, and Shiro sure didn't want to run into the bad kind first.
