I was a zombie as I entered the school grounds, trudging to my group. Sasuke had managed to inflict a large, purple bruise on my left temple. In addition, there was a long, deep cut down one of my arms from where I had first blocked his blade. I pursed my lips and cursed the day I decided to not wear armour, I mean, I should really wear that shit!

Hah. Who am I kidding? I’m badass enough without.

There was also a long, deep cut that ran across my throat from his blade piecing my flesh, which I didn’t care about at the time. Well, I sure cared a damn lot now! It also seemed as if I was man-handled by Orochimaru’s men, because there were bruises all along my arms and legs in the shape of handprints, and fingerprints. Fucking assholes. I’m glad I killed them! But, that wasn’t half as worse as the problem I was faced with now.

I ignored the staring, I was used to it. Let’s just say, Kakashi’s training sessions were pretty harsh. As I rounded the corner to the group, I put my ninja skills to work, jogging to them. I didn’t want any of them to be put in danger because of me, for they didn’t know the first thing about protecting themselves from ninja’s.

“What happened to you?!” Annabel gasped, while everyone else stayed silent, too shocked to utter a word. My breathing quickened when I felt the Uchiha’s chakra, not good.

“Stay quiet, and act normal!” I muttered, shoving my hands in my pockets, trying to follow my own advice. I scanned the area, and although I couldn’t see him, I knew he was in a nearby tree.

“You’re scaring me, Jess…” Kiyara whimpered softly before I gave a subtle gesture for them to follow me.  They all sent each other nervous stares, to which I ignored. I needed to stay calm, for all I knew, Sasuke was gonna go all ‘shippuden-crazy’ on our asses.

“Follow me.” Annabel, Molly, Emilia, India and Kiyara all did as they were told, following behind me obediently.

Before long, we were behind the boys bathrooms. No doubt the students that saw us were a bit suspicious, perhaps they thought we were all going to have a gang-bang… Or start smoking…. The latter was the most likely.

I ignored my own inner ramblings, and focused on the chakra signature of the Uchiha. It felt as if we were being followed, like he was stalking his prey, assessing it. I was positive that we all didn’t read too high on his danger-scale, but I knew that’d change if I summoned someone. Perhaps a certain sensei?

“Can you at least tell us what’s going on?!” India stressed, and I noticed the subtle movement of her hands and she wiped them on her skirt, trying to rid them of the cold sweat that everyone seemed to be experiencing. I considered lying to them, I didn’t want any of them to die from heart attacks.

After all, I don’t know how to hide a body! Then again, if I burnt it……

“Jess, you’re talking out loud.” Molly interrupted, her brow furrowing. Annabel took a step back, a deep frown on her face. I grimaced,

“No no no no no, don’t be nervous. This is what goes through my head normally…..” I stared at them with a lopsided frown, “I thought you all knew how I thought…..” Emilia swallowed hard,

“Just tell us….” Her voice was small, and I made my decision easily. I cocked my head to the tree that Sasuke was currently situated in, placing a hand on my hip.

“Duckbutt is in that tree.” I drawled lazily, and I noticed the blank stares they all gave me.

“Isn’t that a good thing?” Molly asked, pushing her glasses up.

“Quite the opposite.” I tried to forget the tone Sasuke had used when he mentioned me ‘replacing’ him, which I hadn’t meant to do at all.  The way he said it… Gah! It made my heart hurt just by thinking about it, as corny as it sounds.  “Look, there’s no time to properly explain everything!” I hissed, ridding myself of the memory as I felt Sasuke’s chakra signature move and heighten slightly, but it was still enough to put me on edge.
