A happy ending - Dylan's regret

Ruby

"It's been a while since we have actually sat down together ." Darlene said at the breakfast table on the fine Saturday . To Dylan it felt like his days were going very fast lately , like he couldn't keep track anymore . 

"Yeah ." Dylan saw her bright white teeth as she smiled , as she starred at him . It was adorable and sweet . 

"Dylan , I have something I need to tell you ." Darlene took one last huge gulp of her black coffee , leaning closer to Dylan she whispered "I really really like you ." 

Starring into each others eyes , she looked at Dylan's lips like a hungry lion , they leaned closer and closer , Darlene's reddened lips touched his , they both stood up , not letting go . Dylan held his hands on her face , through her gorgeous hair . 

Ring Ring 

Both of them got a fright , jumping a little , Dylan picked up the phone "Hello ."

On the other side was Lilly , she sounded terrified , she needed him "Dylan , there's something you must see . Come over right away ." hanging up after notifying him . It wasn't much of a conversation but how could he ignore it . 

"Darlene grab my hand ."  closing his eyes , Dylan focused on teleporting them to where Lilly was staying . 

"Where are we ?" Darlene asked Dylan . 

"We are at Lilly's house ." They both stood outside for a second before Dylan walked to Lilly's door with Darlene following behind . "Lilly ! Its Dylan !" he screamed 

"Dylan !" lilly hugged him tightly .  " and you brought Darlene !" she said happily like she was glad to have another friend .  hugging her too " please come in ."

Taking their shoes off at the door they both entered the little brick house "What's the emergency ?" Dylan asked , he was not one to beat around the bush , he liked to get to the point . 

"Here's some coffee ." Adam put down in front of them , on a nice glass table , taking a seat on the grey double chair perpendicular from where Darlene and Dylan were sitting . 

"I'll go get Ruby ." Lilly said rushing up stairs . 

"Is something wrong with Ruby ?" Darlene asked as she caught on to the situation fast . 

"Ruby wake up , your uncle Dylan is here ." Lilly held Ruby who was only a week old but she looked about 2 years old , her hair a thin ginger . "It's her eyes ." 

"What's wrong with them ?" Dylan asked standing up before taking a look . 

"They are the same as yours ." Adam said sitting , contemplated in thought into why the left was green and why the right was blue . 

Dylan a little shocked , "That's a little crazy ."  he was now pacing , thinking "To add many weird events have been happening lately ." he was confused , is this related to the dangerous power Cat told him in his mysterious dream ? 

"What weird events ?" Lilly asked after putting Ruby back to bed .

"Cat appeared to me in a dream while you were giving birth ." he began then looked at every one seriously "She warned me about a dangerous power coming and I feared she may have been right ." Dylan sat back down next to Darlene with his arms to his head . 

"What else ?" Adam asked leaning forward . 

"When I teleported us here , we ended up outside , we should have been inside straight away ." Dylan explained the strange thing that had happened , a new atmosphere entered the room , the room became more terrifying . "I hate to say this or even consider it a theory but Ruby ...." before continuing he was interrupted .

 Lilly stood up to defend her baby , she didn't want to be slapped by the awful truth . "That's my child , I wont let you guys touch her , she's innocent ." She proclaimed seriously . 

"I understand Lilly ." Dylan said trying to handle the situation like adults , calmly . "We just need to consider she might have a great deal of power ." thinking a little bit again then concluding his statement . "To begin with we don't know how you were able to get pregnant , you're a vampire and Adams human , having colored eyes that neither of you have ? It all doesn't make sense ." they stood for a while in silence before realizing Darlene was awfully quiet . 

They all looked at Darlene as she spoke "What if the father isn't Adam ?" she suggested the worst that could cause a fight . "What if the father is a wizard ?" 

Adam looked at Dylan "I never touched her I swear ." Dylan said defending himself . 

"We're going for a blood test ." Adam said packing some necessities and getting Ruby . Lilly rolled her eyes to his funny reaction . 

"I'll transport us ." Dylan offered but as he tried , nothing was happening . "The bus it is then ." they let go of each others hands , walking outside to the bus stop just a few blocks away . 

Arriving at the hospital that was only 10 minutes away , they walked straight to the counter , expecting it to busy but it was really terribly empty . "Excuse me we would like to find out who the father of this girl is ." 

"Please fill in this form for the three of you ." the lady said giving a form for the men and a for for Ruby which Lilly had filled out . 

"Are you sure you want to do this ?" Lilly asked Adam . 

"It's the best option , I need to know too ." he was very determined and anxious . 

Darlene waited alone in the waiting lounge while the others went to take the blood test . She was feeling slightly bored , getting up to ask the lady there a question . "How long till the results ?" 

"Well , if you pay extra it gets done here right now ." she said looking at her forms .

"Here's the extra for those men and the girl ." Darlene kindly paid the extra as it would be more terrifying to wait to find out if Lilly had sex with another man . 

"We are back ." Dylan said , walking straight to Darlene giving her a little peck on the cheek . 

"You should find out soon , I paid the extra ." Darlene smiled hoping what she did made things easier . 

"Thank you so much ." Lilly said pushing Dylan out the way , and giving Darlene a huge hug that could of made her suffocate, especially because of her huge boobs . 

Half an hour later 

"Your results are ready . please come through ." the strange doctor said holding his clip board with lots of paper . They all got up , following the doc to the room while Ruby was being fed by a small jar of porridge . "This is very strange ."

Lilly asked "What is ?"

The doctor took a deep breath then notified them , "Adam , you're definitely the father between you and Dylan but ." he stopped wandering if he should mention the other factor . 

"But what ?" Adam asked moving closer .

"You aren't the only father . A wizard also impregnated her . Two fathers basically ." Stopping for a second to defend himself . "I'm not sure how this is even possible , it's usually only 1% chance of this happening ." he got a little louder and more worried . "Even so Lilly should have had twins ."

"We will leave now doctor . Thanks for your help ." Adam said shaking his big hairy hands . In a slight disappointed and saddened tone he continued , "Lets go ."
