A happy ending - Dylan's regret

"Everyone please get outside and onto the bus ." Lilly said making sure everyone was there and had all their stuff packed . 

"You ready Celine ?" Dylan ask her , it was time for their plan to begin . 

"Yes ." Celine replied . 

"Place your hands on my back , and transfer your magic ." Dylan instructed . 

This is where the hard part began , Dylan stood in front of the house , he had drawn a large circle around it with salt . His hands up , his eyes closed , he had to use a lot of magic for this barrier , it could have been life threatening . 

"Dylan !" Cat called from inside the house . "What are you doing ?" she ran to Dylan and stood in front of him , the only thing that was stopping her from going further was a red color barrier . 

"This is for your own good ." Dylan said , he sounded as though his breath was getting taken away , as though his heart was racing . 

"I don't want to be stuck here !" Cat screamed at Dylan some more but all Dylan did was turn his head . He couldn't see her sad like that . "I want to help too ." Cat said in a softer tone , falling to the floor , the ground became wet with her tears . 

"I cant let you die again ." Dylan explained . 

"Well hello there ." a girl whispered in Dylan's ear , as he looked up she grinned . it was the same girl as before , the one with the robe . 

Jen used her speed to get close to her before she could hurt Dylan , she grabbed her neck , pinning her to the floor . "Who are you ?" 

"Teehee , the name is Melanie . You sure are beautiful ." Melanie tried her flattery .

"No one should have been able to find us , how did you know our location ?" Jen looked concerned . 

"Jen , look out !" Fin said as he saw Melanie pull a wooden stake out her pocket , she couldn't possible dodge that . 

Fin flew "Are you okay ?" he asked putting Jen down in the bus . 

"Yes , but you aren't !" Jen started crying . "We need to get it out ." she cried and cried , she panicked so much , she lost all common sense . 

"I'm fine , it missed my heart ." Fin said , pulling it out . Holding his chest with one hand and one hand to his mouth , he coughed up blood . "It's just from the rush , I'll heal ." he continued to cough . 

"Ruby !" Jen called in tears . "Please ........... heal him ." 

"I will try but I need some herbs , go get them from my mommy's bag ." Ruby ordered Jen , she placed her hands in front of Fins wound and began the process . 

In the mean time , dylan continued creating his barrier and attempting to ignore Melanie . He was able to continue only because they had Lewis , Lilly , Adam , Rowen and Liz helping to keep the enemy as far as possible . They all seemed out of breath after half an hour passed . 

Melanie stood on the bus roof , trying to take deeper breaths she was huffing and puffing . "T7 , if we leave here without something , the boss is going to be angry ." the wind blew her white , white hair side to side . She stood there and watched Jen and Ruby exit the bus . "We will take her , I've grown to like her very much ." Melanie said to T7 . Swooping down to the floor , she broke Jen's neck , which would leave her unconscious for a few hours . 

T7 picked her up and they both said together in sync "Thank you for your consideration ." 

Fin watched them take Jen away , he crawled outside in desperate pain , "Come back !" frustrated more than anything , he curled up in the dirt and began to cry more than the average child . Whispering to himself over and over again "You can't take away my pride and joy ." his eyes closed he fell asleep . 

"Listen Cat , we need to make sure you survive , there is enough food in this house for you ." Dylan said to her , trying to make her feel safer . "We will win and when we do , we will come fetch you ." he turned around hoping it was safe enough , that barrier was the strongest one known , it had to help , it had to keep her safe . He regret not being able to save her last time . 

"I love you ." Cat said with teary eyes , placing her hand against the wall . 

Dylan gave her a look "I love you too ." 

"On the bus everyone !" Miss. Ellas called to those who were still around . 

They hit the road once again it was still pretty early in the morning . 

"Where were you when everyone was fighting ?" Dylan asked Miss. Ellas .

"Oh I was fixing the bus then I made an important phone call ." she replied . 

"We have a mole in the school guys , but to narrow it down , it must be one of us . No one else knew or could track our location ." Dylan shouted to the special forces class . "How fantastic ." he said sarcastically sitting down and for the rest of the way back to the school it was complete silence . Dylan was drained , if Celine wasn't there to help , he would have died .
