Word choice is always an extremely important factor in writing a book. It keeps sentences from being to choppy or from just generally not making sense.
But another part of word choice is the quotes you can take out of your book. What are people going to remember about your story? What line is going to stick with them?
Most famous books have quotes that everyone remembers because it was a her a line that stayed with them. Try to incorporate lines like this into your books.
Here are some examples of these famous lines:
"Frankly, my dear, I don't give a damn."
"Call me Ishmael."
"To be, or not to be. That is the question."
"Happiness can be found in the darkest of times, if one only remembers to turn on the light."
"Never ignore a possible."
"Doors are for people with no imagination."
"Tomorrow and tomorrow and tomorrow."
"Stay golden, Ponyboy."
"Rise. Red as the dawn."
"I fell in love the same way you fall asleep; slowly, then all at once."
"Okay?" "Okay."
"After all this time?" "Always."
"Not all who wander at lost."
