We've stayed at the castle for about a week now, my Alpha was discussing silly little things with King Lucas, and now we were finally going back to the pack house. We weren't meant to be here this long, which made me have to borrow some clothes from the king. All he had was the horrid ball gowns. I tried to make sure they weren't as eye-catching as the first dress I wore and made sure that I kept my cloak on. All the other ball-room guests had gone after their second day at the castle. Well, that doesn't matter. We were going finally.

I wore a newly washed dark-blue jacket with a white tee and jeans (cloak included). My face was hidden by the shade of the cloak's hood, including my tired eyes. I haven't slept for a while, not wanting the nightmares to find me again. They have been visiting me since the morning of the ball, making me hate the idea of even closing my eyes. I've been avoiding everyone lately as well, not letting anyone talk or touch me. Which is easy enough when you hide in your room. The king made sure that a maid was coming to my room to let me eat without having to show my face. I would have thanked him if I wanted, but I wasn't going to break my streak.

We were in the throne room as the alpha and king said their goodbyes. I was, once again, at the back of the pack and hiding behind my cloak. My face was set into a cold expression as my eyes glared at anyone that dared to even glance in my direction. I've decided that the assassin they bid for would be the assassin they got now. I wasn't in their pack. I wasn't in their family. I was a prisoner. One that murders for freedom. One that kills to keep the beast at bay. That is how I should act. How I will act.

Suddenly, everyone was looking at me. Had I zoned out for too long? "What?" I asked, crossing my arms. But as soon as I felt a hand touch my shoulder, I knew that they were looking at a person behind me. I turned and pushing away the burns. I glared down at the man on the floor. "Don't touch me." Even I could hear the venom in my voice.

The man --who was about thirteen-- stared up at me with electric blue eyes that held no regret. I watched him, expecting him to explain his stupid action. "Y-your that mutant wolf, right?" My eyes narrowed at the childish person, curling my fists at my side. "My friend told me that you were the one that took down the assassins! And then you broke down crying and needed help!" He smiled innocently, like he said nothing that was offensive.

"Something tells me, you and your friend has a death wish." I growled, moving towards the fallen one, being dangerously calm. He scrambled to his feet; trying to get away, but I swung my curled hand at his head. Before I could actually hit him, I was pulled away. Two pairs of arms held my arms behind my back. It wouldn't have hurt if any 'human' contact wouldn't burn me somehow. I stood absolutely still, waiting for them to let go. But they didn't.

One blink and I was in a different world.

They had bid her off once they had finished her experiments. Given to an old man, looking for someone to fight his battles. He created The Arena. Placed his bets. Then threw her in. She was forced into her first shift there.

Every bone snapped from head to toe, making the ten-year-old crumpled to the floor in pain. She didn't scream out. No. She had been through enough to know that they wouldn't do anything. Her teeth grew sharper, making her gums bleed. Her nails became claws, scrapping across the cement floor. Then they snapped back, but not in the right way. No. They were all twisted and switched around under the skin. Her skin became discolored, turning an ugly black where patches of matted hair started to grow. The pain was horrible, but not as bad as the tests.

Blink.

The burn had yet to leave, making me finally start to try and get out of their hold. It wasn't working as well as I thought it would.

Blink.

The giant black wolf stumbled on to the dirt floor of the Arena, looking around at the audience in confusion. They were cheering for something.. But what?

The giant gateway from across the field started to lift to reveal a growling beast on the other end. A eight foot tall silverback gorilla. He pounded his chest before attacking the ground to stand on all fours. The girl, not wanting to attack the animal, ruffled her fur and started backing away from the approuching monster. It started it's charge, but she didn't move. She stood, watching the angered gorilla rush at her. Then, when he was a foot away, her instincts took over. Her claws shot out in front of her, catching it's eye. It roared, grabbing the waist of the wolf and tossing the helpless creature across the dirt. She caught herself on time before falling to the ground completely, running to him with determination. She wanted to live. She went to attack the throat, somehow getting her jaws around it. The girl made sure to still dig her claws into the body, locking her jaw as it tried to shake her away.

Then it dropped. Not able to do another thing against his opponent. But it hurt the girl more. She had murdered. Her hands were dirty now. Dirty with blood.

Blink.

I shoved away the people, grumbling something about going to the trucks. I was ready to go home.

Sorry peoples! It's been a little while
