castiel didn't fall asleep until 5:00am which caused him to sleep through all three alarms he had set.
he's going to be late school.
he's woken up by being shook lightly "castiel, son, we're gonna be late." his father, chuck.
castiel slowly woke up and wrote down
'i didn't know you were home'
"yeah, i'm home for a few days, which means i can teach you how to drive."
castiel rolled his eyes. he wasn't interested in learning to drive but he knew he had to.
he hugs his dad before getting out of bed.
"i know you hate this question but how's school going for you?"
castiel moved his hand left to right, indicating a 'not bad' sort of reaction.
he doesn't normally answer his dad when he asks that question so chuck was surprised and wanted to know more.
"and why's that?"
castiel quickly typed on his phone
'there's this boy, dean winchester. we're forced to be english partners and he's trying to be my friend which i don't want but i like his company. he doesn't seem to mind that i don't speak, he's patient.'
castiel's father smiles, he's fully aware of his son's 'condition' and knows his insecure but he's slowly making a friend.
he knows what happened between balthazar and castiel and he hopes that this dean kid, won't break him like balthazar did.
"do you like him?"
castiel tensed his jawline.

chuck chose to believe him even though he wasn't entirely convinced.
