when dean caught up with cas (which didn't take him long cause cas isn't fast) he stopped him by wrapping both his arms around his waist.

castiel angrily shoved dean's hands off of him and turned around to confront him, face to face.

"i'm sorry, cas."

castiel's writing was a bit sloppy because he's writing fast and pressing down hard on the pen.

'it's so typical for a jock, a popular to con the loner. i'm a fucking idiot.'

dean shakes his head. he doesn't understand why cas would think that. he's not that low.

"come on, we're friends, cas. all i can do is apologise."

castiel huffs.

'i bet you don't even realise what you've done wrong'

but dean does know what he did wrong. except it wasn't his fault.

"yeah i do. lisa coming over was not planned, she came over by herself and i know the pda thing doesn't sit well with other people. don't be like this. i'm sorry, it won't happen again."

castiel takes a while to respond to it.

'well she sure made it seem like she was invited. i told you, i'm not good with people. the last thing i wanted was for you to bring attention to me. and your girlfriend coming over and kissing you, brings fucking attention. you're just an inconsiderate fuck.'

dean was taken aback. he hopes cas doesn't actually view him like this and he's just saying this because he's angry in the moment.

"she's not my girlfriend and i'm the exact opposite of inconsiderate. if you think i wanted attention brought on you, you're wrong."

deep down, castiel knows he's probably over reacting. after all dean's been really good to him so far.

balthazar certainly doesn't help. castiel's still trying to figure out if balthazar's confession that he's in love with him was the truth or not. but that's another story.

he doesn't say anything to dean. he would apologise to dean later.

dean pulls cas closer to him gently by the waist. he has to bend down a little to reach his ear.

"i'm not going to hurt you, cas." a whisper.

cas throws his arm around dean's upper back.

"i really am sorry." castiel believes him.

he pulls back from the hug and nods.

'i know. you're forgiven.'

dean smiles, they're late to last period but they don't care.

they just like that they resolved the problem.
