Shawn had texted me telling me to meet him at our spot, i got ready. I put extra effort into my appearance, i felt as if this was finally going to be the day he was going to ask me to be his.

I put on a denim dress and a pair of white converse, i put my hair in half up and half down. I don't wear makeup, i just don't like it on myself.

I grab my phone and my car keys, i run down the stairs. I pop my head into the kitchen, "I'll be back later, i'm going to meet Shawn" I tell my mom

She nods her head, "Have fun sweetie, be careful" She smiles at me

I nod my head, i open and close the door behind me. I get into my car and a wash of excitement washes over me. This could be the day i've waited 2 years for.

"Calm down" I mumble to myself

Me and Shawn have been friends for years, so long, since kindergarten. But as we grew up, i gained feelings for him, but this summer he told me he had feelings for me too, it was the best day of my life. We've been on dates and spent so much time together, so today might be the i've been waiting for.

I get to mine and Shawn's spot, it's a hill that overlooks the city. Me and Shawn found it about 3 years ago, i've never seen anyone other than him here, we agreed it was just for us.

I see him sat on the floor, i go and join him. As i sit down i nudge him, "Hey" I smile

He gives me a weak smile, "Hi" He mumbles

All the excitement i had was drained within seconds, i had a really bad feeling now, something was wrong.

I touch his hand that is laying on his knee, he was shaking. I take ahold of his hand, "Shawn? What's wrong?" I question with concern

He wouldn't look at me, he stared at the view of the city, "It's good news, but not for u-us" He stutters

My heart beats so fast, i'm surprised he couldn't hear it, "Just tell me, you know you tell me anything" I reassure him

He shakes his head, "I don't want to hurt you" He says so softly

How can someone so gentle and soft hurt me? I knew Shawn never would hurt me, he's not like that. He would never hurt me, never not intentionally anyway.

"Shawn, you're scaring me" I tell him, "Please look at me" I beg

He slowly turns his head facing me, our eyes meet, "I'm l-leaving for N-New York" He chokes out

I look at him confused, "What for?" I ask

He looks away, "Andrew called an hour ago, he told me that island records want to sign with me" He explains

"Oh, when do you leave?" I ask

He takes a big deep breath and breaths out making his chest rise, "Tomorrow" He says turning his head to me

I hug him immediately, "I'm going to miss you, but Shawn this your dream" I tell him

He hugs me back, "I know, but i'm not going to have you" He mumbles

I put my hand through his hair, holding him tight with my other arm, "I'm always going to be here, this your dream and i couldn't be anymore proud of how far you've come" I smile

He pulls away, "You're so amazing" He tells me

I flip my hair, "Tell me about it" I smirk sarcastically

He cups my cheeks, "I'm going to miss your sarcasm and annoying comments" He laughs before kissing my forehead

I smile at him, "I'll still be the same me when you visit home, i promise"

He stands up and holds his hand out for me, i take it and stand up, "Let's not spend my last day sitting around, let's do something" He smirks pulling me close

I smile at him, "What do you want to do?" I question

He shrugs his shoulders, "I don't know" He mumbles

I roll my eyes at him, "You do this way to much" I laugh

We sit around a table at a restaurant, i look around to see Shawn, Liam and Ellie. I'm so lucky to have these people in my life.

Karen asked me and Liam to distract Shawn for an hour, she's setting up a surprise party for him.

"Can you believe our friend is going to be famous?" Ellie asks

I smile weakly, "He deserves it, he's worked hard for this" I say

Shawn rubs my back, "Thank you" He kisses my cheek

I feel my face go red.

"Honestly, i'm really proud of you man" Liam smiles

Shawn looks up, "Thanks man"

I lean my head on his shoulder, "I can't believe you're leaving" I say quietly so only Shawn can hear me

He puts his arm around me, "It's not forever"

I nod my head, "I know"

He kisses my forehead.

Shawn Mendes, gosh i'm so in love with him.
