Chapter: Eighteen
Layla

I hear a door slam shut and my eyes open. I look around the room and the memories from last night flood back to me, i wasn't even drunk. I quickly put my underwear and bra on and walk really quietly towards Shawn's wardrobe i grab a top that hangs down to my knees, am i really this small. I quickly put it on as Shawn starts to shuffle in his sleep.

I sit down on the bed and check my phone, i have no calls or messages. Nice to know that nobody has even noticed I'm not home.

I look at Shawn, he looks so peaceful when he sleeps his curly hair definitely looks crazy in the morning. I smirk to myself. "I can feel you watching me you know" He tells me.

I quickly clear my throat. "Good morning" I finally find the words to say.

Shawn shoots up and checks his phone. "It's eleven in the morning, Liam is going to kill me" He panics.

I look at him confused. "Why?"

He quickly grabs a pair of joggers and puts them on, and pulls a white t-shirt over his neck. "Because I've been helping him train lately" He tells me putting on some socks.

"I guess i should probably leave" I mumble.

Shawn walks over and sits next to me, he takes ahold of my hand. "Layla, last night meant everything to me" He tells me, his voice so gentle and soft.

I smile at him, my heart feels warm. "Me too"

He kisses my forehead gently. "Do you need to borrow a pair of Aaliyah leggings? You look about the same size" He makes fun of me.

I nod my head. "Yes please" I laugh.

He quickly disappears and i grab the white shirt that he just shoved in his bag, he walks in. "What are you doing with my shirt for tonight?" He questions.

I put it on a hanger. "It will get creased like that" I explain to him.

"You definitely are your mothers daughter alright" He laughs at me. I pass him the hanger with his shirt on and he passes me a pair of leggings.

I quickly change into them and keep the t-shirt on. "You ready to try and slip out without getting busted?" I ask.

He nods his head at me and i quickly grab my stuff. We both slowly and quietly walk downstairs, i walk behind Shawn. "Good morning you pair" Shawn's dad Manuel greets us.

Shawn looks at me as if to say busted. I smirk at him. "Morning" I smile.

We both look at his mum and dad who are both looking at us. "We really need to go, I'll see you guys tonight for Liam's fight" Shawn tells them and pulls my arm leading us outside.

"That was rude, i didn't get to say bye" I frown.

Shawn carefully puts his shirt in the back seat and i get into the car. "You can speak to them later" He groans at me.

Shawn gets in and starts to drive me home. "So your mom and dad have known this whole time about Liam boxing?" I ask curiously.

"Liam told them a couple years back, he wanted that kind of support he just didn't want to tell your mom about it" He explains to me.

I nod my head understanding what he means. "She just feels like she has to protect us from the world i guess" I try to defend her.

He puts his hand on my thigh. "Please don't think i was trying to be mean, you don't have to defend her i think the absolute world of your mom" He tells me.
