Layla

My eyes open from my nap to see Shawn putting clothes in his bag, i sit up in confusion and he looks at me sadly.

"You're leaving?" I frown at him and he sits next to me, i look at him and he doesn't even have to answer me because the look on his face says it all. "So much for my birthday is too important to miss" I roll my eyes.

"Please don't be like this, it's not my fault Layla" He begs and i get up and grab my shoes, i start to put them on my feet. "Where are you going?" He asks.

"To my apartment, not going to wake up alone on my birthday" I mutter and he sighs. I stand up and grab my bag.

"You won't even let me explain myself Layla" He yells getting frustrated at me.

"Go for it" I sigh.

"Andrew tried to cancel it but they've already announced the interview and my fans sent in questions, i can't let them down Layla" He frowns at me.

He was right, no matter what his fans come first and I'm okay with that. Sometimes i wish he wasn't famous and this could be a regular relationship. I wouldn't change him for the world, just maybe his name.

"I get it and it's okay" I smile weakly at him. "Liam and Ellie were planning on going home for a few days so i might join them" I shrug.

He walks closer to me. "I'm so so sorry Layla" He tells me before planting a kiss soft kiss on my forehead. "I love you Lay"

My eyes go wide, did he really just say that or am i hearing things. I wanted the L word to he said in the right moment and that didnt feel like the moment i was waiting for.

"No Shawn, why did you do that" I sigh, he looks at me with disappointment in his eyes. "You're leaving and you just dropped that and now-"

"I wasn't leaving without telling you that I love you so much Layla Elvira Rhodes" He smiles at me.

"I love you too Shawn" I smile back.

"Forever and always?"

I sat in the uber with Ellie and Liam back in Toronto,  i called Liam and Ellie last night and asked if they wanted to take a quick trip home with me for the weekend, which they agreed to join me.

Saying goodbye to Shawn was sad, we had spent a month and a half together and got really used to having him here really quickly. I know we are going to be okay though, we're better this time around and it's a real relationship.

"Did you tell Mat you were coming home?" Liam asks me and i nod my head, Ellie sighs. "What?" He asks her.

"Obviously she told Mat, she went and packed her bag dumb ass" She mutters, my eyes go wide and Liam rolls his eyes.

"Please i can not listen to you guys fight any longer" I sigh.

The whole plan ride i was sat next to them and it was the sly comments and it was exhausting to listen to, this is officially the worst birthday yet, first Shawn has to leave and now i have to be referee for Ellie and Liam. I just want to go to bed.

"I'm sorry, it's your birthday and we're ruining it" Liam says and for a second i was scared he read my mind.

"I'm sorry" Ellie frowns.

The uber stops outside my old home and i can't help but smile to be home, i got out and opened the boot and grabbed my bags. I don't bother waiting for Liam and Ellie, i rush to the door and open it and walk to the kitchen.
