Chapter 1: Euphoria

Felix's POV

The feeling of the cold air, the sight of so many people, the sound of luggage carts around me. I truly felt that I was going to leave my hometown of Los Angeles. We enter the plane, I look outside the window, I couldn't think of anything but that I was going to miss LA, but another side of me was excited to see the future that awaits us in Canada.

I kept dreaming of the school I would go to and the friends that I would meet, I was happy, it felt like home, then...I woke up. After I had that dream I was more excited about what awaits us in Canada. I looked through the window, it was dark, but as I look closer I could see small lights, it was beautiful, I couldn't believe we would be arriving at our new home so soon.

We arrive at our new house, I opened the door to my room, everything is so new, but since the house is new, it would make sense that everything is new. I unpack my things, as I unpack I see a photo with me and my friends, it makes me miss them so much, but as much as I miss them, I have to accept that I will be making new friends and having so many fun and happy memories with them, I won't ever forget my friends in LA and when I go back I hope we could get together sometime. I finished unpacking.

"I should sleep now since we still have a long day tomorrow to explore Alberta"

I marked my calendar how many days I have before school starts, WOW! I realized I have 1 week left to explore my new home and get to know Alberta as best I could. "I'm about to enter 9th Grade...I'm a little bit nervous😂," I thought to myself as I looked at the mark on the calendar that says "Happy death day (school)". I hope I make friends or at least a friend.

Instead of thinking about the school I just thought of the places that we were going to visit throughout the week.

Scarlette's POV

I have friends in every part of the school since I was in the 1st grade, but tomorrow, I'm going to enter my 9th year in this school. That's right. I can't wait to see what am I going to do on the first day. I am a bit nervous because I heard that high school life is stressful, but FUN!

When the sun tries to wake me up with its good morning kiss, I always react to it negatively. I mean, who wants to be interrupted during their beauty sleep? But then, a bomb near my bed woke me up. It was my phone's annoying alarm.

A few minutes later, someone rang the doorbell, I looked through the front door's peephole. All I could see was black, and Shaun always blocked the peephole with his hand, so I realized Shaun and Chloe came to visit me. I let them in and told them to stay in the living room and play games with the PS4.

Shaun and Chloe have a bit of a rivalry on the game they're playing, but in the end, it was a tie.

I was cooking breakfast at that time. I decided to make chocolate pancakes for the 3 of us and blueberry pancakes for my mom. My mother doesn't like chocolate, because she doesn't want anything too sweet early in the morning.

I put the blueberry pancakes and a glass of water on a tray and bring them to my mom. "Mom, wake up. I made you breakfast." as I try to wake my mom. My mom woke up, "Scarlette, does this have chocolate?". I replied "No, Mom. It's blueberry, just the way you like it." with a smile. "Mom, Shaun, and Chloe are also in the living room, they wanted to say hi," I said. My mom replied "That's nice, Scar. Why don't you stay with them while I prepare for work? Oh! And tell them I also said hi."

I go to the dining room and prepare our meals. I shouted "Eating time, children!" and they all rush to the dining room and ate chocolate pancakes. On that day, we hanged out 'till the sun was ready to wave at us goodbye.

It was time to sleep, before having my peaceful pillow rest. I ate dinner with my mother, brushed my teeth, and changed into my pajamas. In my slumber, I dreamt of the silhouettes of 5 people, when a school bell rang the silhouettes started to fade.

I woke up without the help of my annoying phone's alarm nor the sun. I looked at the calendar, I realized that tomorrow was going to be the first day of school.

Elliot's POV

Tomorrow's gonna be the first day of school. I don't have a friend to be with for the next school semester, and I don't really care what's going to happen tomorrow. I'm not nervous nor confident for tomorrow, I feel blank and want to see something interesting.

I decided to relax on the bed and focus on the clock's ticking. I feel alone because I'm insecure about my attitude. I wanted time to stop or revert back in time. I wanted someone to be there for me, someone who will keep me company and is proud to call me a "comrade".

I stopped focusing on the clock, and put my attention on the social media. I don't have friends to chit-chat with, nor am I comfortable with a stranger. I just watch videos online and play mobile games.

When the clock struck 12, I thought to myself "What if I don't go to school tomorrow?" and started looking in the windows, gazing the infinite stars.

I started laughing silently as I realize that my world turned upside down when I got a strange feeling of mystery. "I sure am really weird and lucky to be in this world." and those thoughts help me sleep on this bittersweet night.

Anastasia's POV

Only 30 minutes left and I and my family will arrive at our new home, Alberta. My dad got a new job at Alberta that's why we're moving from Vancouver, I'm a Little sad from being away from my friends but at least I'll meet some new ones.

I have two older brothers, Andrew and Alden. Andrew is the muscular sporty type and Alden is the smart but playboy type. They're very protective of me since I'm the only girl but I'm fine with that, it's good to know someone's got your back.

"Andrew wakes up the plane's gonna land soon," I said trying to wake up my brother but looks like he's not waking up anytime soon, who can blame him, everyone loves sleeping.

I'm a little nervous because it's gonna be my first day at school in a couple of days, I just hope the people at that school are nice and friendly, and hopefully, there's no introducing in the front shit 'cuz I really hate that. Who doesn't?

After the airplane landed and we got our luggage we were on our way to our new house. "I'm so excited to see our new home!" I said "I'm sure you guys will love it." my mother said. After a few minutes we arrived at the new house and it's really beautiful, it's even much bigger than our last house. I went to my room and placed all my clothes in my cabinet and changed into my pajamas, I can't wait to sleep!

Sophia's POV

Today, me, my mom (Seline), and my dad (Shawn) are waiting in the airport for my big sister (Samantha, we call her Sam for short) to arrive from Los Angeles for a little vacation. When we saw her come out of the plane, we immediately embraced her with a big hug and my mom said: "We are so happy you're finally here". and Sam replied "I am also happy to see you all after 5 years in Los Angeles. Look at you, Sophia! you have grown so much since I last saw you". and I replied "I missed you so much sis, we have a lot of things to do together". as you can see I am close with my sister we're like best friends.

As we got home, I showed my sister a tour of the house and we chatted a little and then she said "Its so nice to be home after all these years." she then followed with the question "So, how are you?, I heard you'll be starting school in a few days". And I replied, "Well.......I'm kind of nervous as usual, its just the whole introduce yourself stuff and all and its just been hard for me to make friends since you know......I'm a bit.....shy". She said, "You'll be fine, I'm sure you'll have tons of friends this year I can feel it!". Then I said thanks and gave her a big warm hug.

The next day, we spent the whole day together and went touring the city and I also enjoyed the last days before going back to school.

Then, a few days later, it was my last day of freedom before I go back to staying up all night just for projects, homeworks and quizzes dor the next day.
