Chapter 7: Halloween

Felix's POV

Tomorrow's gonna be our Halloween party, YEY! Before he dismissed us, Mr. Carter told us that we were free to bring any food and or wear Halloween costumes. I asked Aiden what his costume was going to be, he said that he might not go to school tomorrow because he felt a little sick.

I asked Scar and Rose what their costumes are going to be, they wanted to dress as minions, but Elli and I wanted to dress like horror characters like Jason Voorhees, Freddy Krueger or Michael Myers for example.

"I want all 5 of us to be minions!" Rose demanded.

"Minions aren't scary! We should be scary!" Elli exclaimed.

"Stop fighting like kids! Wear whatever you want." I said to stop their argument.

"Why don't the three of us wear minions and the two of them wear scary costumes," Sophia said.

We all agreed to wear what we wanted to wear.

I woke up, I took a shower, I brushed my teeth, I looked at my cabinet and thought to myself "I didn't buy a real costume this year, hmmm....what would be fun to wear?" I decided to wear just a simple costume, I just wore all black and put on a clown mask with some fake blood. The clown mask was Flyn's, he used it last year during their Halloween party.

We go to school, as soon as I get down from our car, I see everybody wearing costumes, witches, vampires, fairies, etc. I go to our classroom, I was so dark. As soon as I turned the light on...Elli attempts to scare me, but he doesn't know that I wore my mask in advance, I was also holding a knife to make it even scarier.

"AAAA! WHAT THE HELL!" Elli screams.

"You thought you'd be able to scare me😜," I said.

I go into the classroom, I see everyone wearing costumes. Just like how we planned, Elli and I wore scary costumes and Scar, Sophie and Rose wore minion costumes. I looked for Aiden, he wasn't in the room. I guess he really was sick.

Mr. Carter comes in the room wearing the same clothes he wore every day, except...he just painted his face white and put on black lipstick with blood all over his face. He comes in, he announces that we can go to the haunted room. There was an entry fee of just 1 CAD, so we decided to go.

"OMG OMG OMG!" Rose said.

"CALM DOWN, ROSE! I'M GETTING SCARED BECAUSE OF YOU!" Scar implied.

"Next please." said the facilitator.

"OMG OMG OMG!" Rose exclaimed.

We went in, the lights started to flicker. Everything was black, then, BOOM THERE WAS A ZOMBIE IN FRONT OF US. WE RAN AROUND THE ROOM, WE ALMOST ALL GOT LOST. EVERY TURN WE MADE HAD A ZOMBIE, GHOST, DEMON THING. THERE WAS ALSO MUSIC LIKE IN HORROR MOVIES. We thought it was over because we could see the door out of the room, as we walk to the door, THERE WERE PEOPLE GRABBING OUR FEET, Rose was in front, so as soon as someone grabbed her leg she ran straight out of the door. I may have accidentally stepped on one of the hands...

We went back to the classroom, traumatized...but we saw food, that trauma left our bodies as soon as we saw food. Spaghetti, Pizza, Chicken, Spring Rolls, it's just like a birthday party.

We played a lot of games like Musical Chairs, Charades, Ian suggested this Filipino game called "Ansabe", it's when you have to guess what the other person is saying without hearing their voice. It was really fun, and whoever loses has to eat a whole plate of spicy noodles.

Today was fun since it was a weekend, the 4 of them wanted to go to my house to hang out. We went to my house, I asked them to get changed, but they didn't bring any clothes, so I just decided to not change either. Flyn arrived after we arrived, he said he was gonna take a nap so we weren't supposed to bother him. We just stayed in the entertainment room.

We just talked for a bit and played a few video games. As always, Elli keeps talking shit. We didn't have much to do, we just ate. Scar found a shot glass on the counter, and she pretended to be drunk, it was so fun, we were just laughing and laughing.

I was getting late, so I told them they should go home. They all went home, still in their Halloween costumes. I close the door.

The doorbell rang, I looked through the peephole. It was Aiden, I thought he was sick...so what is he doing here? I open the door and let him in.

Felix: What are you doing here, Aiden? I thought you were sick?

Aiden: There's something I have to tell you, Felix...

Felix: What?

Aiden: I...like...Scar...

Felix: ...Yes...I know...

Aiden: How did you?

Felix: Right from the start...I knew that you liked her...and that's ok with me. You two look good together, to be honest.

Aiden: Aren't you mad? I mean, you like her too don't you?

Felix: No, I'm not mad, I have no reason to be. Yes, I like her too, but that doesn't give me the right to be mad at you, and I would never get mad at the one who I treat as my big brother.

Aiden: Felix...I don't know what to say...

Felix: It's fine, but I do want to know one thing. Why say this to me now?

Aiden: ...The truth is...Shaun and Chloe are blackmailing me. They said they would tell you that I liked Scar and that you would get mad at me. They told me to ruin your Halloween party, so instead of doing that, I didn't go to school.

Felix: Why would they want to do that?

Aiden: They're jealous that Scar doesn't talk to them anymore, and she just hangs out with us.

Felix: What?! You have to tell Scar that they're doing that.

Aiden: I can't...the moment I do...they'll reveal something that I did in the past, and there's a possibility I would get expelled, because of what I did. I'm sorry, Felix, I want to tell you, but it's too risky. I don't want you to get involved.

Felix: You have to tell me. I can't help you if you won't tell me.

Aiden: I'm really sorry, Felix. Maybe you'll know in the future...but I hope you never find out.

Felix: This problem with Shaun and Chloe, I'll help you get through this. I promise.

Aiden: Thanks a lot, Felix.

Felix: It's getting late, you should get home, your brother might get worried.

Aiden: Thanks, Felix. Goodnight.

I wasn't shocked that Aiden liked Scar, I had no problem with it. What really concerns me is...his problem with Shaun and Chloe.

Chloe's POV

Unfortunately, I wasn't able to see the spectacle that Aiden did to ruin his friend's Halloween, because of this stupid fever. I hope Shaun recorded it for me to enjoy.

*Phone rings*

Finally a call from Shaun.

Chloe: Shaun, how'd the plan go?

Shaun: He didn't show up.

Chloe: WHAT?!

Shaun: He said he was sick, so he didn't come to school.

Chloe: We'll have to make his life a lot more difficult.

Shaun: Chloe...everything we're doing feels wrong.

Chloe: Shut up, Shaun! He has to pay for what he did to us.
