Chapter 11: Detour

Felix's POV

As we were looking after Elli, I realized that Aiden wasn't around. I asked Scar if she had seen Aiden. "I think he said that there was something he had to fix at home, that's why he left." She said. I could see Scar's face, she looks worried about Aiden. I had a bad feeling that something bad might happen to Aiden, but I kept it to myself as I thought that I might just be over-reacting.

The four of us (Scarlette, Sophia, Rose and me) went home afyer Elliot's mom and dad, Mr. & Mrs. Aro, arrived at the hospital. I went home worried for Elli, I went home and checked my FriendBook feed and I could see a lot of posts wishing Elliot a healthy recovery. I was so relieved that a lot of people are worried for Elli and wish him a fast recovery.

Days went by since we first visited Elli at the hospital, we visit him almost everyday if we don't have any school work. It was a Saturday  and we nad no class nor school works, so the four of us decided to visit Elli again. I met up with the four and we decided to stop by at a nearby store to buy Elli a fruit basket, but I wanted to also scare Elli since Halloween was fast approaching. I went to the toys section and I looked for a toy spider. We bought both the fruit basket and the toy spider and went out the store.

"Hey, guys. Remove the plastic for a sec," I said with a grin.

"Why?" Rose asked.

"Let me put the spider on top of the fruit basket BWAHAHA," I said.

"Hey! I don't think that's a good idea, Felix," Sophia said.

"Hmm...you're right. I'LL PUT IT INSIDE SO THAT'S THE FIRST THING HE SEES WHEN HE TAKES A FRUIT HAHAHA."

I placed the spider inside the basket. Right after, we were on our way to the hospital, when we saw someone running towards us. Rose said to me.

"Felix, isn't that Gayle Parker?"

"Who's Gayle Parker?"

"She's famous girl at school! Almost all the boys, and a few girls, have a crush on her. She's so pretty!"

"But why is she running towards us?"

As she came closer we heard her yelling, "HELP! HELP! HELP!"

Felix: Why? What's happening are you ok?

Gayle: It's my dad! He fainted and collapsed while we were walking home! Please I really need your help!

Felix: Alright we'll help. Where is he?

Gayle: This way! Please, hurry!

We ran to Gayle's father as quickly as we could. We saw him lying down on the floor without consciousness. We proceeded to do what we could do to help.

Felix: Sophie call an ambulance now!

Sophia: Ok, I'm on it.

Felix: Rose, your uncle works as a paramedic right? And you used to go with him during emergencies right?

Rose: Yes, but only once.

Felix: Then you've seen what he does to patients, yes?

Rose: Yes, I have.

Felix: Could you check his Dad if he's breathing or he has a pulse?

Rose: I haven't done that before, but I'll try!

Felix: Scar, I need you to stay here with them and assist if they need anything. I'll try and ask for help around town.

I ran around to try and find help, but as I ran I saw Aiden walking to the hospital. He was talking to someone on the phone, I was too far so I couldn't hear anything he was saying. I wondered who he was talking too, but a sudden thought popped up in my mind. I remembered that I had to look for someone who could help Gayle's dad. My phone rang, it was Rose.

Felix: Hello. Rose? What happened? How's Gayle's dad?

Rose: Felix, he's fine, he's breathing, but he's still unconcious. Luckily the ambulance just arrived so now they're checking him and they're going to take him to the hospital for further tests.

Felix: Well that's a relief. You guys should go with Gayle so that she isn't alone. I'll meet you guys at the hospital later. There's something I have to check first.

Rose: Ok, Felix. Be careful. Bye.

When the call ended, I looked around and I couldn't find Aiden anymore. I sent Aiden a text that said: "Aiden, go to the hospital. We're all gonna meet." I went to the hospital and met up with Scar and the others.

Felix: How's your dad, Gayle?

Gayle: They said that he fainted, because of extreme heat. But don't worry they told me that he's just gonna be fine and he should wake up in a few hours or so.

Felix: That's good to know.

Gayle: Thanks for helping us, guys. I really appreciate it. I really didn't know what I was gonna do until you all showed up to help.

Scar: You're welcome, Gayle. We should all know how to help each other since we all study at the same school, right?

Gayle: Right!

I was sitting at the waiting area of the hospital, waiting for Aiden, but instead I see Chloe and Shaun go to the elevator. They're probably here to visit someone.

Chloe's POV

Shaun and I were on our way to the hospital when we saw Aiden Freewich. Aiden looked like he was troubled. Shaun and I decided to talk to him for a while.

Chloe: Aiden, where are you going?

Aiden: The hospital, why do you ask? Are you going to stop me?

Shaun: Don't jump into conclusions, Aiden. We just wanted to talk to you.

Aiden: I no longer want anything to do with the two of you.

Chloe: No longer want anything to do with us? You seem to be forgetting your place and what you've done.

Aiden: Look, Chloe. I know that you blame me for what happened to your sister, but I never wanted that to happen to her. It's nobody's fault.

Chloe: You say that, but you still don't want to admit to your friends why we always see each other.

Aiden: I don't have to tell them anything, because it wasn't my fault.

Chloe: Why the sudden change of heart? A few days ago you already wanted to tell them everything. You still haven't though.

Aiden: I wasn't at fault so I have no reason to tell them anything.

"BU--" I was cut off by a phone call. It was my mom. "Chloe! Come quick! It's your sister!"
