I stared at Ruki in surprise. He was a vampire and he had just bitten me. It hurt but I was too in shock to even do anything. In Edolas, the only vampire I had seen looked so different from him.
I didn't know what to do. Right now he had been the only person I had. As soon as I blinked he had disappeared. I knew he was gone. He was not usually the expressive type of guy.
The Next Day
Ruki did not come to school yesterday night. I had to admit I was kind of down. Here he was the closest to a friend I had. I still cared for him and yet I didn't know much about him besides his usually emotionless exterior and the fact that he had been a vampire.
As I walked down the hall to the exit of the school I had seen the man from a couple of weeks ago. The one who seemed to be somewhat acquainted with him. I ran up to him. "Sir?" He looked at me and scuffed.
"You're Ruki's partner am I right?" I nodded.
"Yeah"
"Ruki does not want to be bothered by you." My eyes widened. If anything he was the one who wanted to know everything and now he didn't want anything to do with me.
"Oh, when you get the chance, tell him that if he wants, the train to Kuwana leaves at five am on Saturday." I walked away. The man was probably not going to tell him but it was worth telling him. Hopefully, I would see him there but part of me knew that I would be going there alone.
