Lucy's P.O.V

I smiled at the man who had been anything but happy about me being late. I wanted him to forget about it but I knew that I wasted his time which made me feel bad. I sighed before I stood up straight and looked at him in his eyes. "I will make it up to you." He arched a brow. "How about I make you breakfast?"

"I like to cook for myself." I looked away from him and tried to figure out what else to offer him. "If you want to make something for me, I prefer for it to be soup." He said before he walked inside. I smiled before I followed him. Not that long after we heard the door open and close. We looked at the door and seen Rin. My eyes widened before I looked away from him.

"My plants are right...here," I said pointing to the section of plants in front of us.

Ruki's P.O.V

I heard Lucy's heart rate quicken, making me look at her. The color of her cheeks had been flushed and her eyes had tears forming. She was about to cry. She wanted to cry but didn't want anyone to see. I took her hand and pulled her to the area she pointed at. "Ruki-san"

"Right here right? How different are they from the last time you saw them?" She looked at the plants before she looked at me.

"They look similar to the two at home."

"I guess they must have missed you." She let out a small smile.

"I guess so"

"Lucy" We looked in the direction of the voice and seen Rin with a concerned look. "Can I speak to you?" Her expression changed. She started to walk over to him when I grabbed her wrist. She quickly looked at me.

"Ruki-san" My brows furrowed making her eyes widen. "It's fine"

"Lucy" He was trying to get her to pay attention to him? This man who at one point of time wanted nothing to do with her had wanted to talk to her?

"Come on," I said dragging her past him. Suddenly she stopped. I looked at Lucy's right wrist to see Rin holding onto her.

"Lucy please" She gave me a worried look making me shake my head. I let her go and walked outside to get some fresh air. I didn't know what had gotten over me. I wasn't angry because her ex-boyfriend wanted to talk to her right? I wasn't jealous, right? Tch, she was making me soft. I didn't like her and yet when I had been near her I had felt a feeling so strong that I couldn't understand it.
