Chapter2:First Day

Nova's P.O.V
I rolled over on the couch and hit the floor "damn my my cheek" I said to myself; but I realised someone slapped me off the couch.

I got up off the ground to see Jack with a red face.

"Nigga why the fuck would you hit me" i said as I slapped him back. "Nova don't play dumb with me don't act like you weren't hugged up on some man last night before I left" jack said as he hit me in the face.

"Argh what the hell are you talking about" I said holding my eye. "Im talking about when I came back to get my wallet i left on the couch some man was holding you while you slept" jack said as he punched my wall.

"First of all we are not dating so I don't get why your mad and we barley know each other and plus you weren't even a good fuck.

So how about you walk your sorry ass out of my house and go fuck someone else because this pussy doesn't belong to you or anyone else" I said as I threw a knife at him as it grazed his arm.

When jack left my apartment i cried because I hadn't been hit by a man in so long since my dad died.

As my ceased my crying i hopped in the shower and relaxed before work.

As I got out the shower I looked at myself in the mirror and saw a bruise on my eye and cheek so i knew I had to cover it up before work.

So after I applied my make up and got dressed i put my work clothes on, (btw her work outfit in the media.) I made my way to my hummer and drove to work as I made my way up to the main office on the higher floor I saw my boss sitting at his desk like he was thinking I looked at the time and it was 8:26 so I just walked in and hurried to my office room and locked the door.

I was about to take my shades off when a knock was at the door.

"Yes who is it" i said as I sat up pretending to be busy. "Its Grayson, Nova open the door" he said seriousness lacing his voice.

So I just opened it to see him looking at me like I had grown two heads.

Grayson's P.O.V
As I was sitting at my desk i heard the main office door open I got pissed because they didn't knock.

As I was about to yell I saw Nova walking fast to her office like she didn't want to see me and she locked it and I wondered why she had shades on.

So I got up and went to her office and knocked on the door. "Yes who is it" i heard her baby voice through the other side of the door she sounded like she was frighten.

"Its Grayson, Nova open the door" I said being serious. When she opened the door she still had her shades on.

"Nova why do you have shades on you can't see properly with them when you are working" i said as i was reaching to take them off she flinched.

"I'm sorry sir but i can see perfectly with them on so if you'll excuse me i have work to do"she said turning to shut the door but my foot stopped her from shutting the door.

"Nova what I say goes take the shades off that is not work required" I said giving her a not to test me look as she huffed and took the glasses off looking down.

"What did I tell you about not looking me in the face" i said as I walked closer to her. "I'm sorry sir but can I get back to work" she said still looking at the floor.

"What did I tell you about that you can call me Grayson"I said getting inpatient.

"Now look at me and i don't like repeating myself" I said as she lift her head up slowly. When her face finally became leveled with mine i saw a bruise under her eye and a slap mark on her cheek.

When I saw her face i became instantly pissed as I shoved her against the wall gently and grabbed her waist.

"Who the fuck did that to you Nova" i said as I clenched and unclenched my jaw.

"Umm n-no one I fell in the shower" she said gulping which I knew was a fucking lie.

"Don't fucking lie to me princess Who hurt you" I said as my voice got softer so I wouldn't scare her. Before she could answer I asked her "Was it that man from the bar last night who hurt you" i said.

"Y-yes it was jack" she said crying. "Shh shh don't cry" i said as i held her body in my arms that bastard is going to die and I mean die.

Nova's P.O.V
As Grayson was holding me i was wondering why because no man has ever held me the way he did and it did something to me deep down.

When I calmed down Grayson left to go handle some business i went to my office to finish my work. When I finish i took a small nap but the nap came to a quick end when I heard the office door slam so i ran out my office to see what was going on.

I came out the office to see that Grayson was bleeding on his knuckles. "Omgosh are you ok" I gasp as he turned around with relief in his eyes.

"Yes I'm ok Nova you should head home" he said sitting at his desk like his knuckles weren't bleeding.

"No you need to be treated" i said being the stubborn little woman i am. "Nova just go home ok" he said yelling at me.

"No I will not i will not leave until your ok"I said as I started treating his knuckles.

As I was treating him i felt him lift my chin up and before I knew it his lips were on mine and I have got to say I didn't know my first day would be like this.
