Chapter 14: Percico Is Canon?

All his life he would never forget a swim practice. That is, until Nico di Angelo came into his life. He had missed in total around three in a row, doesn't sound bad huh? Let me remind you Percy is Captain of the team, and he wasn't actually sick. Sunday was because of A Nico and his mental health Monday was because of B Nico di Angelo and Tuesday was because of C Nico di Angelo. Normally, Percy would also try and get some extra time in the morning too, but as Nico spent the night he couldn't have done that either
He assumed his swim mates would be okay if he missed a practice or two, but when he saw his friends, they didn't look thrilled...
"Hey, Perce how've you been?" Luke said, hatred dripped from his mouth, "or where've you been should be a better question to ask." "I was sick." "Oh, right how'd that happen?" Before he responded he took a look at the rest of the boys at the cafeteria lunch table waiting for class to start. "Well, I was with Nico, taking care of him, he got sick from being in the cold, and so I caught it from him," Percy was straight up lying to his team, his brothers, though the others seemed to relax after hearing his straight up lies. "Why what did you guys think I was doing?" Leo was the first to speak up, his head hung low nd voice small, "Luke convinced us that you guys were just skipping class, and practice to just roll around with some junior." Before Percy could respond Tyson interjected, "Even though we support your bisexuality, we didn't want your grades to drop because of a relationship," Percy was astonished, he understood what they were saying, but he didn't understand everything.
"Thanks Tyson, but if you guys really knew me I would never skip anything unless I had a good reason too, like having a fever," Percy shook his head, "honestly it makes me so upset that you thought so lowly of me, like I just broke up with my girlfriend, who might I add I never skipped anything with, you really expect me too already be over her?" The boys looked guilty, besides the blonde haired asshat. Although, they did have a guilt ridden face before Luke started talking. "You know what guys I'm sorry I missed practice, but what really makes me upset is Luke was the guy who made me lose my relationship with Annabeth, the one who made me this mess, and yet you trust him over me?" All of the boys looked even more upset, but Luke remained still, "Anyways I gotta go ask my teachers what I missed because I was sick!"
Percy turned on his heel, the sound of his shoes clicking against the tile floor, and students chatting was all he left behind.
