"3...
  2..
  1!,"

The alarm blared, the swimmers who had their hands and feet at the post dove hands first into the water creating a perfect arc with their bodies. As they dove into the water with bodies almost as if they were aerodynamic flying through the open air and plunging in the water. Percy Jackson swam to the top as if it were his life mission. It almost was, he lived in a small apartment with only his mother, and needed a way to pay for his college expenses.

His body moved through the water at topspeed, Percy was one of the fastest people in the city, maybe in the state, his 100m freestyle was up to 56.75 the U.S. record was 47.17. He twirled underwater hitting the wall and bouncing off with ease. The scene however was no fast pace action filmed. This wasn't a national championship, just the first few meets of the season. It was relaxed and Percy, being the captain of Half-Bloods swim team he knew his team would be just fine. His team to him was his second family. He was an only child. Their was 6 of them on the team, Percy included, Tyson, Jason, Leo, Luke, and Grover.

Percy was good at almost any type of swim backstroke, breaststroke, butterfly you name it, but where he really rocked was freestyle. The fastest style of swim, suited him and his tall, skinny, flexible, and lightly muscled body. Was he lean? No. His body reminded him of Tom Hollands'. Which is great, because Tom Holland is literally the most perfect man. Percy didn't need to be bisexual to realize that. Not that he isn't. He is what one would say a 'bisexual icon' I'm sure he would try drag if he was told too. His girlfriend Annabeth could say so too.

The rest of his team were all catered to specific styles. Tyson is best with breaststroke his bulky and muscular features make him powerful in the water, but almost useless when it comes to butterfly, he just starts flailing like a chicken. He's almost like the mom of the group he brings food to practice, has a van where he can taxi all his friends, and always has the biggest hugs. Literally he's 6'3 definitely the tallest of the group.

Jason was definitely the jock of all of them. His taught and strong build made him great for the breaststroke. He wore a purple polo all the time tall build very lean and captain of the football team, which he constantly bugs Percy about joining again, but he dropped out mid sophomore year to focus on swimming, his grades, his part time job, and his mom, so Jason can't really get mad at him. Jason, alike Percy, had a girlfriend named Piper.

Leo, unlike Tyson, being the small man he is, is surprisingly good at butterfly. Though, his weak stamina and small frame don't help with much, so normally he sits out; which he is perfectly okay with, as he gets to fiddle with cheap gadgets he gets at Home Depot in the clearance section, or at garage sales. Him and his best friend Charles Beckendorf or Charlie love going to garage, and yard sales. Those kinds of things. Well, they did, but Charlie moved away last Summer.

Luke, like Jason, was Mr. Cool, Mr. Popular, Mr. Sex God knew everyone and everyone knew him, he was a swimmer, a football player, member of the student congress with Annabeth, and second to Valedictorian. Can you guess who is? Yup, Annabeth. Basically, he was one of the smartest, most popular, and most attractive boy in our school. If he looked at you, you were the talk of the school. His style of swim? Backstroke. His lean, yet slim figure has the perfect body for it.

Then there's Grover, his choice definitely butterfly, if Leo isn't the one swimming he's on it. Grover is kind of like the waterboy, but the loved included and extroverted waterboy, and oh is he happy with his job. He skates boards, even though he broke his leg a couple years ago and was forced to use crutches for a portion of his middle school, yet he still rides his death board like he has marshmallow padding. He's the cheerleader of the group.
