"reece can you not just stop for like ten minutes?" you sigh

"i'm almost in the top three though babe" he replies not even taking his eyes off the screen

he'd been in this fifa battle for the past seven hours, so the day you both had planned to just watch movies and chill was out the window the minute you'd stepped into his room this morning

"i'll go watch a movie with lexi then" you respond unwrapping yourself from his body where you lay

he had his arms around your shoulders with the controller between his hands as you were scrolling instagram and online shopping on your phone which lay on his chest

he didn't even reply so you grabbed one of his hoodies to throw on over your sports bra and left his room to go and find lexi who would just be getting in from school

"y/n" she cheers when you enter the kitchen

"hey lex, how was school?" you smile letting her run up to you snd hug you tightly

"i have alot of homework" she sulks

"want me to help? reece is being boring upstairs" you ask

"could you please?" she smiles

"of course, come on" you walk back to the kitchen table and sit across from her with all her books

you start on math homework, then science and lastly english. she had to write a short poem about someone she admires so you left her to it to concentrate as that was her favourite subject.

you enter the living room to see jamie sat watching the news, lyndsey would be geting home from work any minute now. you plop down on the sofa next to him and start watching too.

"what's reece up too?" he asks

"fifa" you roll your eyes

"god that boy and his videogames" he sighs

"it's fine, he doesn't get to play alot when his away so i'll let him have his catchup time" you respond

"but he also doesn't get to see you alot when his away, nor us. he should be more social" he points out

"hmm" you hum in agreement

"dad read this poem please? just to check it's okay?" lexi walks in holding her piece of A4 paper

jamie scans over the writing, gradually smiling more and more.

"that's brilliant lex" he grins then glances over to you

"can i type it up on your laptop please?" she asks

"it's in the hall go and grab it and i'll log in for you" he replies

she runs out into the hallway to grab his laptop bag, jamie logging in and passing it over to her to use. she sits with us in the living room. the news still playing in the background as lyndsey walks through the door.

"evening everyone" she grins walking over to jamie to give him and lexi a kiss on the head

"where's reece?" she asks looking towards you

it wasn't strange you being sat with the other two when she arrives home, you visit alot when reece is away anyway so it's normal. just unusual that reece wasn't by your side since he was home for once.
