Before I begin this chapter I would like to say thank you for tagging me SkyeLovebird. Honestly I had no clue what that was, but I will answer those questions.

If you thought the salmon haired dragon slayer picked the door of a new chapter instead of the door that was the end would be correct.
The dragon slayer chose to confront his feelings for the celestial mage. She was too precious to him for to lose her to another dumb, idiotic, guy. The only problem he had was the girl had no clue what to think, for her crush, not to mention best friend had just kissed her cheek. However, she wasn't upset he had. Just confused, if it meant he liked her or if he was just being his normal dense self.
Her train of thought was interrupted by none other then the one who fueled the train in the first place. He began saying " I-I'm sorry. I couldn't hold it i anymore. I know you most likely don't feel the same, but I had to try. Luce I-I, I love you." after finishing his eyes closed and his face was taken over by his smile, but not his normal grin or his friendly smile. Lucy looked up at him, although still being hugged by him caused it to be a challenge. She placed her hand upon his, raising it and bringing it to her heart.
Upon noticing this Natsu looked at the blonde. Surprise filled his widened eyes, her heart was beating extremely fast. Lucy smiled kindly as she spoke " Natsu, do you see what you do to me. I love you too you big idiot." standing on her tippy-toes, for Natsu was around a foot taller than the blonde, Lucy wrapped her arms around him.
The rest of the night was uneventful. No other words were exchanged, after the 'good nights' from the dragon and his new love, were said.
When the sun rose high in the sky, the group ventured back to the castle in the demon world. Having everything planned the beginning of Mao's so called war had begun.
When Mao saw Elizabeth and Meliodas the two were arguing about trusting Mao. The said person was very frustrated about the whole ordeal. So having no other choice he tried reasoning with both the two. Trying to make them see the other's point of view. As if he understood where Meliodas and Elizabeth were both coming from, setting that train into motion
Once this was in action, Ban and Merlin made their way to the hidden door to allow the Liones guards entry into the palace. Thus, the train made its way into it's next station. The minions being taken out one by one. They would definitely need to spread out this step into a few hours, as not to prevent Mao from noticing and prevent him becoming suspicious of them.
One after the other, the minions disappeared. The guards not even leaving a speck as to deter any suspicions toward the group. Every two hours, a guard would make another minion disappear from the view of anyone in the castle.
Although this 'disappearance' continued through out that night, for the number of Mao's minions was too great, for them to make the vanish without suspicions beginning in Mao's mind. He would find them out and their plan would fail. So, they continued throughout the night, being as quiet as possible.
Some guards, however, were in the shadows watching over Elizabeth, protecting her from danger and, well mainly Mao. Who, happened to be planning on killing her. Though he had no clue his plan fell through, so to be safe they had a few guards protecting her in case he were to try anything. You would think it was the king of Liones that insisted upon this, but it as none other than Meliodas himself. He didn't know if she would die with him not around like before, so he had others around 24/7 to prevent that, shall anything occur.
Meliodas would let nothing take her away from him again. He lost her too many times. This one he would save her. She would live and she would remember her lives. The ones with him and all of the things they had done for others, and the entire world. She would remember healing him from his wounds he'd received from his frustrated father. she would remember how she heals things. He would make all of this so.
Meliodas and Natsu were on the same page. they were both going to protect their loved ones. Natsu wouldn't let Lucy suffer any more from Mao's actions. He hurt her, now he would show no mercy, for Mao doesn't stand behind him, no need for protection, for Mao doesn't stand beside him either, however, he does stand against him and like Natsu's said before " Whether it be the kingdom or the entire world, any one would be his enemy. That's what it means to be Fairy tail." he won't let anyone hurt his family.
