The group made their way to the castle, Mao being in front leading. Directing them through all the hallways and corridors that were located somewhere in the castle.
Soon they came to a stop. Mao stops in front of two doors. One a burgundy color and the other a oak, faintly stained pink . Natsu turned his head just briefly to see some sort of recognizing the two doors flash through Lucy's eyes, at the same time Elizabeth notice that happen to Meliodas too.
Elizabeth's P.O.V.
Seeing the thousands of emotions flash through Sir Meliodas' eyes sent a sharp pain through my heart. Knowing he is having a hard time being in a place he hated and was banned from...I don't like what it's doing to him.
Mao began speaking so I turned my attention to him " well, I'm sure Lucifer and Meliodas remember their past rooms. Although they left I made sure their rooms were kept tidy. Now I don't necessarily care who sleeps in what rooms as long as none of you cram in to one room. Now I need to go and make sure no one is suspicious." With a bow he turns and swiftly leaves.
A Miraculous time skip
When Lucy and her friends were all settled in her room all, but Meliodas and I remained awake. What snapped me out of my thoughts was a very silent sob. I directed my attention toward Sir Meliodas.
He was sitting on a bed with his head in his hands. I ran over to him immediately enveloping him in an embrace. I began talking to him " hey...sshhh it's alright. Hey, look at me." Slowly he lifted his head and sure enough there were tears pouring out of his eyes. " S-s... Meliodas look I know you are in pain being here, I know you. You don't need to act like your not affected by being back here."
Cupping his face I gently wipe some of his tears with my thumbs. " Hey, I want you to promise me something, if you ever start to feel like you need to escape, don't be afraid to come to me okay. I will always be here for you, that's not just because you have been there for me when I needed it. It's because.... I love you more than you can imagine."
Meliodas' P.O.V.
Seeing Lucifer and I's old rooms brought back so many memories I have been longing to forget.
Flashback
"No, your not getting it you have to do this correctly. Now I don't want to see your face until you stop being ridiculous and do this correctly. Continue." Mao then leaves the giant empty room leaving a battered Meliodas in tattered clothing. Little did the two know that a little blonde girl had snuck out of the room she knew as the place she could never leave. She teared up. She had never left her enclosure. She had been forbidden from ever leaving, although her curiosity of the yelling that always seemed to ocurr got the better of her.
Not wanting to get caught she quickly shuffled back to her room. She never got to have fun, heck she didn't know what it was. She was only 3 and had never known how being loved felt. Her brother,although the same age, never got to see her. They only knew of each other. Quickly the two learned to be dependent on each other. They found ways to get to the other through little doors in their rooms.
Now 13, Meliodas had enough of the torture Mao referred to as his training to take over and lead the kingdom. He left the castle for the second time in his life.
When he was far from the house he despised he bumped into a young girl about 11 or 12. She had beautiful bluish gray hair, teal eyes, and she was very petite. She smiled at Meliodas. Something he rarely saw only from his sister.
Although the two girls smiles had different effects. Lucifer's made him feel happy and he would do anything the make sure she was able to continue smiling. The girl's smile had an incredibly different effect, hers made him want to protect her and he loved her smile it wasn't something he was able to comprehend.
The girl moved to be in front of him looking at him as a confused puppy would. She said " You're new, I haven't seen you before. My name is Utsukushi, although it's my middle name my parents are always saying that is what I must be called so. What's your name?" She smiled kindly and he loved how beautiful she looked no wonder her parents named her that. He hesitated but said " I'm Meliodas"
The one encounter became frequent, until him and Utsukushi met every time they could. Until one night when Meliodas was 18, Mao had caught the two. Mao began " So, you not only defied me, but you fell for the daughter of kingdom's enemies. So, to teach both of you a lesson. Meliodas, you are hereby banned from ever returning, and you girl shall forever parish, shall you fall for him, also to make you two suffer more, Meliodas you shall not die and shall continuously watch as the girl you love dies over and over." Before anything could happen Lucifer stepped in front of Mao. She said " If Meliodas is banned then I will leave, you have never even acknowledged my existence, I have no reason to stay if he goes. So, you're banning me too. Forget any rights you have toward us, you lost them." With a flash of light and a magic circle, the three were gone. Lucy as a 2 year old on the door step of the Heartfilia's and Meliodas as an 18 year old in the kingdom of Liones. The boy was alone no Utsukushi in sight. He had no idea where she could be, but he certainly would do everything he could to find her, but one day he did and like his father said she died. He then found her again, but he is determined to prevent her from dying. Her name now is....
Flashback end
Meliodas had just finished telling what his childhood was like, from his point of view. Slowly the two fell asleep, but not before Meliodas whispered " Elizabeth, I love you too, never stopped Utsukushi."
