Skylar's POV

*beep, beep*

There is nothing I hate more than waking up at 6:00am every morning to get ready for school. I have said it before and I will say it again. I. am. NOT. a. morning. person.

But, today is different. Today is the day of the big game. Today is the day that I wear Ethan's Jersey to school. TODAY is the day of my date.

I throw off my covers, having a sudden burst of energy. I want to look good today so I quickly jump in the shower. I put on my morning playlist that helps wake me up and I set my speaker to full volume since my mom is already up by this time.

I spend a little extra time shaving my legs making sure not to miss a spot.

Once I am out of the shower, I comb my hair and then do my regular morning stuff like brush my teeth and wash my face. Then I blow dry my hair, to then start on my makeup. I decide to wear a little extra today, trying to look nicer than normal.

Last night I decided to wear my black shorts with the jersey, so I threw them on and slipped into my vans.

I yell bye to my mom then I grabbed some breakfast walking out the front door.  I sit in my car and before I turn it on I take a deep breath. Let's see how today goes.

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Vanessa:
Meet me by the tree in the front
Taylor:
Ok pulling up
Katie:
^^
I pull into a parking spot and I check the group message to know where to meet them. For some reason they thought it would be best if I had some support walking into school, which I have no clue why.
I turn my car off and then grab my stuff.
As I walk up to the tree, all three of the girls are already there.
"You look so cute, Sky!" Vanessa says with a wide smile.
"Thank you! You too," I say with a smile in return.
"Okay, so you need to be prepared," Taylor says with a worried look on her face.
"Why do you keep saying that?? What do I need to prepare for?" I ask genuinely confused as we start to walk towards the front doors.
"You'll see," Katie says, "It might not even be that bad."
"I have no clue what you guys are talking about," I say frustrated as we all four push open the doors.
As we begin to walk down the hall, people turn to look. I see Desire in the corner whispering to her friend and then her friend looks at us. I really don't know what everyone is looking at, but soon enough everyone's heads are turned towards us.
"Why is everyone staring at us?" I whisper to no one in particular.
"Honey, they aint looking at us. They looking at you." Taylor says pulling us into the girls bathroom.
"Wait what why?" I ask when we all are in the bathroom.
"I seriously don't understand what you aren't getting," Taylor scolds while rolling her eyes.
"You are wearing Ethan's jersey. Remember when we told you it was a big deal?" Katie explains but pauses for me to answer. I mumble a yah before she continues, " Well we weren't kidding."
"I didn't think it would be this big of a deal," I say.
"Well it means you are an item and we told you that Ethan hasn't given his jersey out to anyone. It's a big deal," Katie explains.
"Ethan isn't one for relationships. He has only had one girlfriend and it lasted for like 2 months," Vanessa pauses and looks to the girls then back to me, "We weren't really planning on telling you because we wanted you to form your own opinions on Ethan, but he is a little bit of a player."
You have got to be kidding me. Really? He seemed so nice and genuine and just...different. It is so hard to find guys that aren't fuckboys anymore. I get that they wanted to let me form my own opinions but a little heads up would have been nice. I begin to question tonight when Katie intureps my thoughts.
"Ok, no no no.  A player is the wrong word to use. He isn't one of those boys that sees girls as objects. Ethan is an extremely sweet guy and is a good person but he has just had his fair share of women if you know what I mean."
"Buttt that isn't neccesarily a bad thing. He will be experienced," Taylor says with a wink.
"TAYLOR," I yell.
The warning bell rings so we all disperse out of the bathroom and to our homerooms.
I guess the things that they told me isn't that bad. Just because he has had a lot of girlfriends in the past doesn't really mean much.
I open the door and everyone's heads turn to look at me. I think I might have actually seen a girls mouth drop open.
Okay people really need to calm down. Ethan and I aren't even an item and we are just friends right now. Wearing someones jersey really shouldn't be that big of a deal.
I quickly walk to my seat with my head down.
"Uh, Skylar?" Mae says turning her head towards me.
"Yeahh ," I say ready for a thousand questions.
"With all the classes we have together you couldn't find the time to tell me you and Ethan were dating?" She questions with a disbelief written all over her face.
"Mae, slow your roll. We haven't even gone on our first date," I say looking up at her. Her eyebrows raised as I said this so I continued, "We are not dating."
The door of the classroom swings open and Ethan and Grayson walk in laughing. I smile at the sound of their laughs. I look up at Ethan and when we made eye contact my stomach flipped.
He instantly stopped laughing giving me a smile and a wink making me laugh and roll my eyes.
Before I know it everyone is looking at me again. Great.
Class was boring perusal, so when the bell rang everyone jumped out of their seats anxious to talk to their friends or get to their next class.
I gather all of my stuff and shove it into my backpack, when Ethan begins to walk towards my desk.
"Hey, skylar!" He calls as I look up and meet him halfway, "I could really get used to seeing you in my jersey," He says with a smile making me blush.
"I could get used to wearing it," I say with a laugh.
