Chapter 22

I wake up with a smile on my face, replaying the night before.

After we kissed, I felt like I was on cloud nine for the rest of the night. The rest of the night was pretty anti-climatic, but fun nonetheless. It has been awhile since I've been to a bonfire, so it was super fun. Aaron ran to the store with Vanessa to get some stuff for s'mores, so we made those once they got back and just hung out. We all talked and played music, and just had such a great time. Around 11, everyone decided that it was getting too cold to be outside so we all parted ways. I said goodbye to everyone and that was it.

I grab my phone from my bedside table to find some miss calls from Vanessa and Katie and the groupchat blowing up. I skim through the messages and find it was about the newest scandal. Apparently, Logan broke up with Lacy yesterday and he is already with Tracy, who is the arch nemesis of Lacy. Confusing stuff right? I am so glad I am not involved in messes like those ones.

I scroll through more notifications to find one from Ethan.

Good morning:)

I quickly reply, then force myself out of bed, even though I want to stay there forever. I facetime call Vanessa and Katie to see what they want.

"Hey, I just woke up. What's up?"

The new update where you can facetime more than one person at once was a blessing to us all.

"We just wanted to see what you and your boyfriend were doing today," Katie says nonchalantly. After the kiss last night, Ethan and I walked back to our friends, and even though they knew and saw AND reacted to us kissing, they acted like nothing happened, which was probably for the best anyways.

After a couple of minutes of just hanging out, the girls practically dragged me to the bathrooms. Once we were in the clear, we all started to jump up and down and scream.

"FINALLY"

"YESSS"

"AHHH WHAT THE HELL SKY"

After we all calmed down, I kinda just stood there in shock. Like did that actually just happen? Did Ethan and I actually just kiss?

It seemed unreal.

When the girls and I walked back to the boys, we all went towards the group of people about to start the bonfire.

"Okay, both you and I know that he is not my boyfriend," I say but trying to contain a smile. I have been so caught up in everything that happened last night, I haven't really thought of what this means for us.

All I know is that I really, like really, like him and I want to be make things official with him but I am okay with taking our time and not rushing things. He can always make me laugh when I need to and he always knows the right things to say. He is so fun to be around and I absolutely love the person that I am around him. I don't stress about stuff with Jake or my dad, or school, I am able to let everything go and just live in the moment when I am with him. I want to be able to hold his hand and cuddle, and kiss him whenever I want to. And I hope he feels the same way about me.

"Yet." Vanessa says with a smirk as I roll my eyes.

"Have you guys talked this morning?" Katie asks as she sets us up on her kitchen counter. She looks like she is cooking something for breakfast.

"Yeah, not much though." I say with a yawn as I walk into my bathroom.

Vanessa, Katie, and I talked till I got in the shower. After my shower, I did some homework so I didn't have to worry about it for the rest of the weekend.
