Disappointed// Ethan Dolan Fanfic

Chapter 12

After a very long two periods, it is finally time for lunch. Lunch is easily my favorite part of the school day. I mean isn't it everybody's?

I make my way to our lunch table, to find Vanessa, Taylor, and Katie already there. The lunch room is the same as it always is. Too loud and smelly due to the disgusting cafeteria food. Every table is packed, with all the different groups. My eyes are scanning the cafeteria when they land on the twins. They are both sitting at a table across the room from ours. They are sitting with the football team and a couple of cheerleaders. Figures.

I sit down, and immediately get pulled into the latest drama.

"Yeah. Didn't you hear? They broke up a couple weeks ago."

"Wait, what? I saw them together last night at the Parlor."

"Are you serious?"

"Dead serious. By the looks of it, they were for sure on a date," Taylor says, as she laughs.

They continue to talk about all the drama but I don't have much to input since I just got here and don't know many people, so I just eat my lunch and listen. About 10 minutes go by, and now we are on the topic of just school in general.

"I mean I wouldn't hate school so much if I didn't have to wake up so early."

"Same. I am not a morning person," I add with a chuckle.

If anyone knows me they know, that I hate waking up early in the morning. It takes me forever to get out of bed in the morning, so I always end up running late.

"Yah we know, Skylar," Vanessa says laughing.

Vanessa's eyes suddenly get wide as someone grabs my shoulders and I hear someone yell, "Boo!"

I jump causing everyone to laugh and I swing around giving whoever scared me a dirty look, and then I realize it was Ethan. Wow, does he look good. He is wearing a muscle tank top, which showcases his muscles (which is a blessing) and he is wearing black basketball shorts. Also quick question, how does one's hair look so messy but yet so perfect? I guess Ethan has the answer to that.

"Got yah," he says with a smile as he sits down next to me. While he does this Grayson sits on the opposite side of me and Aaron sits next to Vanessa.

"That's not funny," I said trying to seem mad, but I give up and start to laugh.

We all just stare at one another in awkward silence, not really knowing what to say. After a couple of seconds, someone finally said something.

"Not to be rude, like I don't mind that you guys are here...but why exactly are you here?" Taylor says slowly, so I am guessing this is a rare occurrence.

"Well, we wanted to invite you all to the movies with us tonight. We were thinking we should see the midnight premiere of spiderman. And Cameron is invited to," Grayson blurts out all at once.

"You guys do know it is a school night right?" added Katie. They must be crazy thinking that all of our parents would let us go to the movies late at night on a school night. No way.

"Yaahhhhhhh," Ethan says confused.

"My mom is not going to let me go to the movies at midnight on a school night."

"Yeah, my mom won't either," agreed Taylor.

"What if we saw a different movie at an earlier time?" Aaron suggests. If everyone agreed, I would actually love to go to the movies. Watching movies is one of my favorite things to do and I haven't gone to the movie theater since I got to New Jersey.

"What about the new planet of the apes movie?" I loved the last two, so I actually really want to see that movie. The concept is pretty out there, but it's such a great movie.

"I'm down."

"Yeah, that sounds good to me."

"I'll have to ask, but I would want to come."

"Yeah, I'll go!" I say excited.

"Okay cool. Sounds like we all agree?"

"Yep," we all say and agree.

Ethan pulls out his phone, and looks at all the show times. Pizza on saturday was a lot of fun, so I can't wait to hang out with everyone again.

"What about 7? Will that be better?" He asks with a soft smile. We all simultaneously agree and just start talking about random stuff.

It is finally the end of the day, and all the girls are coming around 5 to hang out before the boys pick us up for the movie. I asked my mom during 3rd period and she said she was fine with it!
