Pearl : White Diamond's

two.

Before I knew it, I had fallen asleep and I fell into a deep sleep. It was actually relaxing and I was able to wake up feeling rested. It has been such a long time since I have been able to sleep so well. It's has been difficult ever since Pink left.

I wonder if being angry is White Diamond's way of showing that she cares about Pink? 

Probably not. She knows she lost some power over Pink without Pink being around. Pink is the youngest Diamond meanwhile White is the oldest. She prefers to have things her way or the high way. If things do not go White's way, there are always dire consequences. Mainly, consequences for me. When I learned about what Pink truly wanted to do, it was a disaster for me.

As time went on, I learned that Pink truly loved Earth for what it was and what it held - all the life on it. She found it fascinating and she no longer wanted to grow gems there. She wanted to protect Earth but none of the other Diamonds agreed. Especially, White Diamond. Earth was Pink's first planet and the other Diamonds were explaining to her the point of having a planet and what she had to do if she wanted to colonize more. 

Pink disagreed.

The war broke out. The gem named Roze Quartz appeared and during a vicious battle, shattered Pink Diamond. How ludicrous of a regular gem being able to shatter a diamond? No one could believe the news when it spread. How could a gem shatter a diamond? Where was her pearl? 

Where was her pearl? A question that I questioned myself. I was actually pretty close with Pink's pearl. When white would go to bed, I would sneak out on numerous nights just to see Pink's pearl and spent time with her.

"Pearl!" She would wave to me in excitement.

"Pearl. Please lower your voice. We don't want to risk waking up the diamonds."

"Oh, I'm sorry. I didn't mean to. I'm just so happy to see you again! We don't get to see each other as often as we'd like." She said grabbing me for a hug. It was nice to see someone so excited about me.

"I'm sorry. I know it's my fault that we can't spend more time together."

"It's okay! Because when we do get to finally see each other it feels worth it!" She said still hanging on to me. I held onto her. We would go into the city to go for walks and explore. Due to our royal responsibilities, we do not have much time to be on our own and do the activities we wish to partake in. But, ever since I met Pink's Pearl, that all changed.

"Is it normal to have feelings for your diamond?"

"Of course. We all love our Diamonds. No matter what."

"Do you have moments when you want to...kiss...your diamond?"

"Kiss my diamond? Where?"

"On the mouth?"

"I'm not sure what those feelings are Pearl. What do you think it means?"

"That my love for my diamond is different than the love you have for your diamond?"

"I have to love my diamond, Pearl. It sounds like you want to love your Diamond this much. Does what I say sound accurate to you?"

"A little. But, is it normal?"

"Maybe not here. Maybe somewhere else it's normal?"

"Maybe...I wish I knew where it is normal."

"I wish I knew where I can go to have free will."

"Oh...I'm sorry Pearl. I'm talking about love when you have real problems."

"No...no...it's okay. I'm lucky because I have you." After saying that, she reached in for a hug and then she held me. She did not let go for quite a while. And then, water came out of my eyes. I was not aware at the time what that feeling was but the more I spent time with Pink's Pearl, she explained to me that what I felt that night was sadness. I was sad that I feel forced to be with a Diamond who mistreats me.

I completely agreed with her.

I hurried to get out of bed to have everything ready for White Diamond by the time she got out of bed. I went over the agenda for the day but there did not appear to be much to do today. Simply review the process of gem creations. I wonder what my diamond would want to do for the rest of the day.

"Pearl!" She shouted from the bedroom so I quickly entered.

"Yes, my diamond?" I greeted.

"What is on the agenda for today?"

"Not plenty my diamond. We simply have to review the process of the gem creations."

"Which gems?"

"Um... I apologize my Diamond. It does not seem to say but I will get on i-"

She hit me again.

"Useless! Hurry up and figure out what I am supposed to do today!"

"Right away my diamond." She hit me in the face. I held onto my cheek as I rushed out of the room. She does this for every mistake I make. It causes me to feel tiny and pitiful. Pitiful that I cannot defend myself against her.

I hurried to figure out which gems. I still couldn't find the information anywhere. I rushed to the phone to contact Blue Agate.

"Yes. Hello Holly Blue Agate. I'm calling to see which gem creation is White Diamond supposed to check up on today."

"Oh. Was that not listed on the agenda for today?"

"No. Hence the call."

"My mistake. Didn't mean to cause any inconvenience."

"I'm sure..."

"White Diamond is supposed to check up on the rubies."

"Thank you very much, Holly Blue Agate. Have a great rest of your day."

"Anytime. Thank you! You too."

I quickly got off with Holly and rushed back to White's bedroom and gave her all of the information.

"Excellent. That's the Pearl I know. Now, let's get going."
