Nobody Knows Nothing 'Bout It

Stevie was happy as she strolled hand in hand with Lindsey as they were exploring the city of Dublin. It was so nice and so freeing to be doing something "couple-ish" with him. Usually their only interactions were secretive, at night, and basically consisted of making love and then Lindsey going back home or hotel room. So to be walking out in the open with him was something they hadn't done in years and it felt good. She looked at Lindsey adoringly, knowing that she was so happy to have come with him. She pointed out all of the shops and statues and everything she found to be neat or interesting. Lindsey went along with whatever she wanted and she could tell he was happy, too. She stopped for a moment looking at something through a shop window when he pulled her close to him and kissed her. When he pulled back she looked at him incredulously. He smiled goofily at her as she raised her eyebrows at him. "What, I can't kiss you?" he teased. She made a face at him, teasing back, as he whined, "Come on Stevie! I love being able to be out with you and not worry about anything!" She smiled at him and replied, "I love it too." before standing on her toes and giving him a kiss. "You're bad Stevie." he laughed. "You love it." she said smiling naughtily at him. They spent the rest of the day walking around just enjoying each other's company, until they were both tired from walking. They made their way back to their hotel and spent the rest of the night in each other's arms. Stevie couldn't remember ever being happier.

Lindsey had rented a car so they could go out of the city the next day and Stevie couldn't help but laugh as he adjusted to driving on the opposite side of the road. "Why don't you try to do it Stevie?" he asked frustratedly. "Baby, you're doing a great job! Besides you know I don't have a driver's license." she replied. He laughed at her for awhile before speaking, "I still can't believe that you haven't had a license all this time. You can afford to have whatever car you want!" he said incredulously. "I don't need a license. I don't go anywhere by myself and besides you think I'm going to go down to the DMV and just sit there and retake a driver's test at my age? Besides, you can drive me now." she said smugly. He laughed and grabbed her hand as he drove. It was amazing to her how much the little things like this meant to her. Something as simple holding hands while on a drive made her heart soar. She realized she might seem a little overdramatic about it, but it was truly how she felt. She laid her head on his shoulder while they took in the views of the countryside, just talking. They had never run short on things to talk about, sometimes it had just been difficult to talk at all. It wasn't that way anymore. They were finally over the petty jealousies and egos. Those things came up sometimes but it didn't fuel them anymore. They had finally reached a good place.

Lindsey woke up a little sore, not sure if it was from driving all day or his evening spent with Stevie. He chuckled as he thought to himself that no one could ever do things that she could, and he had that all to himself. He lay there with her for a few minutes just happy to have her in his arms. He finally wrenched himself away from her and started to get ready. She was a late sleeper so he knew he would be waiting for way too long if he stayed in bed until she woke up. He showered and got dressed and then ordered some food for them. He moved into the living area to play for a bit, just to loosen up his fingers for the show tonight. He played for a few minutes and heard her stirring in the other room. He immediately switched to the song that she had inspired knowing she would be happy to hear it. She walked into the room sleepily and sat down beside him and listened to him finish. When he was done he stopped and looked at her. "I love you Linds." she told him. "And I love you, Stephanie." he replied. "I'll never get over how beautiful that song is after all this time." she said honestly. "I still haven't gotten over how beautiful you are." he said, knowing she loved to be flattered, but meaning every word of it. She waved a hand at him, brushing off his compliment but he could tell she loved it. "What's the schedule for today?" she asked. "Well sound check at four, so we'll need to leave here around 3:30, that is if you want to come. I've ordered food, it should be here any time now, so all we have to do is eat and you have to get ready." he said. "Of course I'm coming. I came to be with you, not sit in the hotel room. Ok, I'll get a shower and get ready after we eat." she said. After she spoke there was a knock at the door, room service coming with the food. They ate together and she started getting ready. Lindsey thought it would be a miracle if she was ready in time to leave.
