You never knew what night time could bring. You never knew that they only appeared at night. You never even knew the place and those creature-like people existed.
And so when you and your two best friends went behind the bushes at the back of school to fetch the ball you guys were playing with, you were surprised to see an unfamiliar tunnel that was never there before.
The tunnel was pretty dark and covered in moss. You were curious as to why you've never seen that tunnel before. But you were uncertain of it.
It just seemed so... weird and mysterious.
But your friends didn't think so. They went right into the tunnel without a word. You called their names as you had no other choice but to follow them in and through the dark and mossy tunnel.
"Guys! Wait for me!" you called out to your two friends as you ran after them, panting and trying to catch your breath. "You guys can't just run off into a tunnel we don't even know anything about and not tell me-woah..." You stopped babbling at them when you saw the scene in front of you.
It was a place you've never seen before. There were hills and hills of plush green grass. And meadows of beautiful flowers. And you could see some strange buildings from afar.
"It's beautiful..." one of your friends breathed.
"What is this place? I could stay in here forever!" your other friend squealed with joy.
You on the other hand, was speechless.
They ran off again, running with their hands spread out wide to feel the cool breeze. They had happy smiles on their faces as they ran to the meadow of flowers.
"Guys, wait up!" you called out to them, sighing in annoyance.
You caught up to them and looked around you. The flowers were all colorful and beautiful. But you had no clue what flowers they were called. They were very unfamiliar.
One of your friends plucked a flower from it's stem and brought it to her nose to smell it. "Mm... It smells lovely." she said, smiling. Suddenly, the flower closed it's petals and withered away, blowing with the wind.
Your friend gasped.
"What was that?" you asked her. She shook her head and shrugged in response.
Suddenly, all of the flowers in the meadow closed their petals and became unblossomed flowers.
You and your two best friends gasped and jumped closer to each other.
You had no idea what just happened.
The sky was getting a little dark, probably because it was almost evening. But you didn't bring a wristwatch with you so you didn't know what time it was.
You and your friends decided that it'd be best to find a place to sleep for the night. You didn't know why but you couldn't go back through the tunnel and back home because as weird as it was, it was closed. Literally closed. It was as if there had been no opening in the first place.
You and your two friends approached the buildings. When you got close enough, you could see that it was a town.
There were weird buildings and houses. All of the lights were on and as if the town had people living in it. But the weird thing was that there was nobody moving about in town.
You guys finally reached the strange small town. And you heard a melody so beautiful that you just had to figure out where it was coming from.
It was a beautiful melody, a melody that was so inviting, you just had to find the source of it.
