"Hey! What's up with you? You have been shaking your leg for minutes..." Emilia asked, placing her hand on my leg to stop it.

Emilia and I were waiting at the airport for our new colleagues Tobías and Lucas. I was nervous and excited at the first time.
Nervous because well after what I had discovered it was basically my main feeling, and also these guys would have to skate with us. What would happen if we didn't get along, if we didn't connect? That would be a disaster and I couldn't have that, I needed everything to be perfect for my return to Roller.

I opened my mouth to talk but don't get to do it since I spot the two boys heading out of the arrivals door. I pointed to them making Emilia turn in their direction. We get up as them arriving waving and smiling at us.

They couldn't be any different, aside from their height which were basically the same. Tobías was blond with brown eyes while Lucas had dark brown hair and light eyes. One thing they also shared was their posture: confident and let's say masculine. I liked them already.

"Well, hello, hello, girls!" Tobías greeted with a strong Spanish accent stopping in front of us with crossed arms.
"What did I tell you about first impressions, Tobías? You are suppose to at least act kind." Lucas teased, pulling Emilia and then me for a cheek kiss.

We look at each other rolling our eyes.
"Welcome to my country, boys! I hope you really like it here but if you don't do, which would prove you had really bad taste, than don't worry because we will be only getting to know each other and have some trainings. The real skating is in Am's country. That is if you pass the test, of course..." Emilia started with a smirk on her face. This was typical hers.

Tobías took a step forward with a rose eyebrow. "I am sorry are two blondies challenging us?"
I looked at Emilia and we both chuckled. "It's not a challenge, honey. It's more like a test. You pass good. You don't good as well. We replace and that's it." I replied making the two boys exchange looks too.

"We are irreplaceable, sugar. But okay, we accept it. Don't start crying when you get humiliated." Lucas provoked, winking at the end.
I rolled my eyes. "In your dreams, Lucas. Now enough spending our time here. There's much more interesting things to do."

We get out of the airport, heading in a taxi to the airport the boys would be standing while in Mexico. On our ride we stalk about the competitions we have been on and I have to confess (only to myself and Emilia) that there boys have quite a history. They have been on a lot of famous European competitions, and winning or not they have always done pretty well or at least that's what they say.

After they are checked in and installed, we walk to the nearest park which was actually the one where Emilia and I had been trainings lately. We put the skates on and face each other.

"Let's see what you can do boys." Emilia challenged them.
"Prepare to be mesmerized, ladies!" Lucas said again winking at us.
They skated a few meters away and started doing some tricks. Actually that was an understatement, they did a performance. Those were really good. They skated with such force and speed, no wonder they were the European champions.

They stopped in front of us and high fived.
"Impressed? Actually that's not even a question. You must be speechless." Tobías stated with his cocky posture. He reminded me a lot of the other Matteo.
We shrugged. "Not exactly. But you will be after this. Watch!" Emilia replied, taking me by the hand to where they had started.

We looked at each other and skated our new routines, the one we had been working on for this past week. It was actually really good and I felt we had improved even more after the Roda Fest.
We made a jump just in front of them and heard them whistle. A few more turns and we were finished, tired but oh so satisfied.

They clapped, smirks on their faces. "Okay, okay, girls. I have to admit you are really good. I wouldn't say as goos as we are but I am sure we will make a really good team." Tobías confessed.
"Well, I have to agree with you on that last part. A team with us four has everything to be amazing!" I exclaimed making everyone smile.

Lucas approached me, offering me his hand. "So what do you say to us skating all together, sugar?"
"I'll accept it if you stop calling me that!" I mocked, making Tobías hit him on the back and Emilia laugh mischievously.
"It's a deal then!"

I took his hand and Emilia took Tobías's and we started skating. Even though we had only known each other for a few hours, connecting with them was easy. That fact takes a weight out of my shoulder.

Not only are they talented by themselves but they also know how to take that while working with other people. Between us it was almost impossible to say who was better. Because no one really was, we were what we were but together.

I am not saying it was perfect, far from that. It was natural and well competitive. We could all improve with each other and we knew it, even though no one said it out loud or showed it. However, when we stopped, I could see in everyone's eyes what I was sure I could see in my, hope and satisfaction. This was going to be a good team!

We went to our bags to drink water and then gather again in a circle.
"So we passed the test or what?" Tobías asked, crossing his arms defiantly. Apparently that was his signature look.
Emilia and I exchange looks.
"You did!" She states. "But only barely our standards are very high!" She assured, putting her arms on her hips.
We all started laughing and then joined for a hug.

When we part I saw from the corner of my eyes two very well known Mexicans looking in our direction, just a few meters away.
I avoided his gaze, turning back to the guys, but unfortunately that didn't make them go away.

Luna and Simón skated in out direction, stopping in front of us.
"Who are they?" Luna asked with a demanding tone which made me roll my eyes.
"Look how curious you are, little cousin!" I exclaimed, making the guys behind me shush.
"They are not from Sliders..." She continued, this tome availing the Spanish from head to skates.
"So what, Lunita?" It was Emilia's time to reply.

I didn't hear Luna's response to that because my attention focused on Simón by her side. He was looked at me with eyes which showed confusion. Actually he was looking at Lucas's hand who was on my shoulder. That only made me wish I was skating with him and not the Spanish. It only made me wish he was skating with me and not Luna. How stupid of me, he doesn't do anything without Luna... Well except leave girls pregnant... I wanted him to suffer a little, so I didn't move, allowing Lucas's touch.

"Actually we are from Red..." He started saying but I grabbed him by the arm, shushing him.
"They are not from Sliders no! They are good friends that are more than anything excellent skaters. I don't see what's the problem with this or what you have to do with this, cousin... Go back to skating with your 'friend', while we take care of ours. Okay?"

Luna grumped, picking Simón's hand and skating away, but before I felt him observe us. He seemed sad. Disappointed?
When they are far away, the boys turn to us.

"Who is that girl and why don't you like her if she is your cousin? And why couldn't I tell about...?" Tobias asked, Emilia and I chuckled.
"Well, it's a long story but basically..." I answered, passing the subject to Emilia as soon as possible...
