Note: Sorry for the delay on the chapter! Here it is. Another coming up really soon! ;)
Simón's POV
Gary's news shocked everyone, specially us from Roller...
Most of his changes were actually really good and necessary for an improvement at the place. However did he have to change the team? It wasn't fair... We may have lost Roda Fest but we worked very hard... We gave our best... Sliders were just as good or maybe a bit better than us...I looked at Ámbar who was on stage next to Emilia, Gary and those two other guys... Those were the guys I saw with them at the park the other day. I really didn't like them... There was something about them, about their faces, their posture that annoyed me...
More like the fact that they will be skating with Ámbar while you won't...
I shook my head, wanting my conscious to shut up... It did but the voices around me replaced it, being mean and critical.
"Ámbar is getting worse and worse every day! She joined Sliders to harm us in Roda Fest and now this? I can't believe she got us kicked out!" Jazmin complaint.
"And be prepared because this was probably just the beginning! Now that she is all friends with Gary, the most likely is that she tries to make our life hell..." Yam continued, gaining worried face from everyone...
"Gary doesn't like us and she will take advantage of it! Did you see how he treated me?" It was Luna's turn to talk.
Everyone nodded and demonstrated their discontentment with he had said with exclamations like "He was really mean.", "You didn't deserve it!" and things like that.Even though I was upset and even a bit disappointed with this whole situation, they weren't being fair. O held myself for a bit, again my thoughts, my feelings and my consciente fighting between them. Finally, I gained the courage and spoke up.
"You are not being fair..." I whispered but gaining the others' attention.
"What do you mean, Simón?" Luna questioned me, with a puzzled look on her face.
I cleared my throat, waiting my voice to sound steadier this time. "I mean you aren't being fair with Ámbar. You throw all the blame on her. It's like she had the power to change the team or quick us. This is Gary's fault. He was the one who chose to do this and the one who chose to bring her back. Should she have said no because of us? I don't think that's right. I mean it is a great opportunity and if it was with us on reverse we would most likely do the same thing... Also, it wouldn't make much of a difference if we unfortunately aren't what Gary wants... He would still pick someone or some team to replace us... What we should be doing know is discussing what will happen and what we will do with our team. Pointing fingers at Ámbar won't change anything..."Most of the team exchanged looks between them, except Matteo who was sitting on a table a bit more away. He got up and walked in our direction, saying:
"I agree with the guitarist. We have to think about ourselves as a team and forget who we should be blame. It's obvious Gary won't change his mind anytime soon..."A bit reluctantly everyone agreed and we set up a meeting with Juliana later that day to discuss what we would be doing, clear some other questions and all that.
Pedro, Nico and I excused ourselves because we had to go back to work before Gary kicked us out from this as well.
I saw as Ámbar sat with her team mates in a table close to the stage. Thankfully, Pedro understood that it would be a better idea if he was the one to collect their orders. Not too long after that, he returned and started to prepare what they had asked. I noticed that, just like a couple days before when I did the same thing for Ámbar, she didn't change her order. That was strange coming from her...
