You let out a yawn as you made your way to the desk completely forgetting to grab some coffee on your way to work which seemed to become a habit by this point and you hated it. You sat down in your chair while struggling to keep your eyes open. You yawned once again but stopped midway when you smelt the wonderful smell of coffee fill your nose. You looked at your desk to see a fresh cup of coffee and turned to see that it had been Connor who had made the Coffee for you. "Oh. Thanks Connor. But you didn't have to do that for me." You said and took a sip. Your eyes widening when you realized that it was the exact coffee you always get as well.
"Good Morning Lieutenant. And it was the least I could do. Your caffeine intake was low and you clearly didn't get much sleep. I just figured a fresh brewed cup of coffee would be beneficial for you." Connor had informed you. You were pleased to hear that he cared for your over all well being and you were also surprised he made your coffee exactly the way you like it as well and on the first try.
"Fair enough. Though I gotta admit... You made my favorite kind of coffee spot on. Thanks again Connor." You said with a smile. Connor returned it kindly.
Lieutenant (L/n) Status: Friendly
Though Connors expression fell quickly as his LED turned yellow for a brief moment. "I just got a report case about a missing AX400 along with a man's daughter." Connor had informed you. His LED back to Blue. You stood up and threw your jacket on and grabbed your coffee and car keys.
"Let's get going then" You said and made way to your car. Connor following right behind you.

"There's Blue blood on this fence..." Connor informed you as he examined the blue blood on the precisely cut fence. Connor crawled through and you decided to stay back and search if anything else happened while the deviant was on the loose.
"Connor i'll be right back. Be careful in there while I'm gone. Got it?" You asked as connor turned to look at you from the other side of the fence. He gave you a nod and turned back to search the abandoned house. He entered through the door and noticed the damaged android standing in the middle of a room. It's cheek was burnt and looked like there was a deep gash in it and it had dried blue blood staining the white interior of the android and on its fake skin. It's eye was all covered in blue blood and it even leaked down like black tears on his cheek.
"Have you seen an AX400 around here?" Connor asked as he watched the stress levels on the android change every second. It was hard to tell if it was showing signs of being nervous/anxious. The deviant shook his head.
"No... No, Ralph has seen no other android." he replied. Connor eyed him carefully as he moved around the room. Some areas, Ralph's stress would go down and others it would just barely go up.
"Is there anyone upstairs?" Connor asked going up the stairs and noting Ralph's stress sky rocketing when he headed towards the stairs. Though Ralph shook his head.
"No. Ralph is the only android here. Ralph hasn't had any visitors." Ralph had spoke. Connor noted that he wasn't lying but... Something just seemed off... Connor went towards the space under neath the stairs and was surprised when he was suddenly pushed then grabbed around the neck by Ralph. "Go Kara! Leave with the little one!" Ralph exclaimed. Connor thought fast and elbowed Ralph in the stomach before chasing the deviant and the child. You saw Connor run out behind the two girls and you quickly followed behind. You and connor rounded a corner to an ally way and the deviant was trying to climb the fence to the highway. Connor was too late and the deviant got to the other side of the fence. Connor began to climb but you pulled him down.
"Connor don't! It's not worth going after them. They probably won't make it anyway." You told him. Though Connor looked conflicted with his LED turning yellow.
"I can't let them get away." Connor replied and began climbing the fence.
"Connor!" You exclaimed and could do nothing but watch Connor it hopes that he doesn't get hurt. He dodged and weaved on coming cars and you clenched your jaw in anticipation. He was close to the deviants until an on coming truck took him down. "CONNOR!" You screamed out in disbelief.
"Lieutenant... We gotta go." an officer said behind you. You sighed in defeat and drove home. The image of Connor being brutally crushed by that truck was the only thing you could think of so you then changed your route over to a bar in hopes of washing the memory out which you doubt would work. But you were also hoping you would stumble across someone you haven't seen in a while. Or at least you haven't seen ever since he retired and deemed that you take his spot for him while he was gone. You enter the bar and smile when you saw just who you were looking for. You took a seat next to him and ordered a drink.
"Good to see you again ya old fart." You teased playfully as the bar tender poured your drink for you and handed it to you. The old man look at you and chuckled.
"Well shit. I didn't expect to see you again short fry." he shot back in an equally teasing tone. He practically saw you as the daughter he never had and you saw him as a father figure to you. You let out a light hearted chuckle.
"How have you been, Hank? You holding up okay?" You asked and took a swig of your alcohol.
"Im still hanging in there. How's it like being the Lieutenant?" He asked then ordered himself another drink.
"It's... Been busy. I'm working on deviant cases, dealing with Reed per usual and I even got assigned an Android to work with me." You said and took another swig of your drink. "Apparently CyberLife thought they could help me out by sending an android but. Truth be told, Hank... I'm not... 100% with it ya know? Androids are just weird to me. They look, sound and even act human. It freaks me out." You explained.
"...Why are you here?" he asked suddenly serious. You gulped and played with your glass for a little before finally deciding to answer.
"I just saw my partner die, Hank. Smashed into pieces because he went after an deviant that went across a highway. He's purely driven to capture deviants." You replied also with a now serious tone. "It's a shame too... He actually did help out a lot better than what you'd think."
"Did you grow attached to it?" He asked. You flinched and looked at him. His blue eyes bored unto your own eyes and his showed just how serious he was about that question. You fell silent and didn't know how to answer that question. "Well...?" he asked.
