"Lieutenant. It's good to see you. Though just to forewarn you before going in, it smells horrible in there." The officer that was waiting for your arrival had warned. You let out a scoff.
"Oh please. I've been in many cases that had to do with horrible deaths. I'll be fine." You replied. The conversation would have continued had someone interrupted.
"Hey! No androids past this lin-"
"Relax! He's with me. Come on Connor." You called over. You watched as the officer reluctantly let Connor pass. Connor quickly walked over and was by your side like a puppy looking for his owners attention. You then turned back to the officer you were speaking to previously. "Anyway... What info do you have on this case?" You asked starting up the conversation again.
"A man by the name Carlos Ortiz was reportedly killed by a HK400 model. Carlos has also had a history of smoking red ice. We have found most of the evidence pieces though we called you here to look through them and see if there was anything we missed." The officer replied. You gave a nod and entered the house behind the man you were speaking to. Connor followed behind you though branched off to analyze and pick up anything that was missed.
"So what do you think we have picked up so far?" You asked one of the men who was writing notes down that had to do with the evidence.
"Well it's clear that the man was stabbed by the android. We also found a bat that could have also been used on Carlos. However we have no evidence of a bat being swung at him on his body." The man replied.
"So no bruises or even a small crack on his skull?" You asked making mental notes of everything.
"Nope. None of those were on Carlos. It could be assumed that he attempted to use the bat to defend himself from the Deviant HK400 model."
"Hmm... Could be possible. I'll keep looking" and with that you left and found the room of Carlos' dead body with the words 'I'm alive' written in what could be assumed to be his own blood above him. Carlos just laid there with deathly pale skin, pale dead eyes and a blackened rotting mouth with flies around his dead rotting body. Connor eventually arrived by your side and you glanced at him then back at the dead body. "Did you figure everything out?" You asked then turning your full attention back to him. He gave you a nod.
"The whole event started in the kitchen. Carlos went after the deviant with a bat backing it up into the counter where it was able to grab a knife and swing at Carlos. Carlos drooped the bat out of fear and attempted to run away to the living room where he tripped over a case of alcohol and scurried back to continued to back away from the deviant. Though the deviant had him cornered against the wall and stabbed him... 28 times. It had intended to do it once but it went on a frenzy." Connor explained. It left a bad feeling in the pit of your stomach. Though you quickly shook it off and was in deep thought for a moment.
"Any idea where the Deviant could have gone?" You asked with a serious expression.
"I checked to see if he escaped through the back yard. However there were no foot prints besides an officers foot print that only took a step off the porch."
"Your point being...?"
"The deviant is still around here." you let out a sigh at Connors words.
"Alright. Let's split up and search for this guy. Let me know if you find him." You said. Connor nodded and the two of you split up to search around the house for this android. Connor had some luck and noticed a small area in the ceiling that lead to the attic. He looked around for a latter but found it to be missing. He went over to the kitchen and grabbed a chair to help him instead. You saw him do this and followed him silently to see him crawl into the attic. You raised a brow and decided to wait and see if he was on to something though all you received was silence so far. But you continued to wait a little longer before you grew impatient. "Connor! What's going on up there!" You called up. There was a short moment of silence before you finally got a response.
"It's here Lieutenant!" He called back causing the deviant to wince and you to rush to get the other officers.

You sat in front of the damaged android before you. His eyes glued to his hands and refusing to look up into your own eyes. You let out a short sigh. "Do you mind telling me what drove you to kill that man?" You asked leaning on the table and staring directly at him as if it would make him look up at you at any moment but he kept silent. His LED a consultant Red. You only wanted to be gentle with the deviant for it seemed... Stressed out in your eyes. But you shook of that thought and continued to try and speak with the deviant. "Look. We need you yo cooperate. Don't make me take Jurassic measures in order to get info off of you." You hissed and slammed your fist on the table causing it to jump clearly startled. You sigh and get up to go to the other room with Connor and Gavin. Gavin scoffed at your attempted.
"Is that what you call being bad cop?" he asked smuggly. You rolled your eyes and flipped him off over your shoulder. "Maybe we should roughen him up. That should get some info off it." he said and you could feel the smirk on his face. You were about to speak but Connor beat you to it.
"Doing that wouldn't get us anywhere either. It is a machine and it cannot feel pain. And damaging it wouldn't be wise for trying to get info. It would only self destruct." He said calmly. His stance not once wavering Gavin glared at Connor.
"Okay smart ass. What do they you plan on doing?" he asked clearly annoyed that someone even managed to shoot down his ego on him.
"Shut the fuck up before I make you shove that ego of yours up your ass." You hissed at Gavin and sending him a dangerous glare. You then turn to Connor. "Connor. Why don't you try speaking to it? I feel like if you try to, we will have less the chance to have it self destruct." You said softly. Connor gave a nod and left the room to speak with the deviant. You watched in interest and Gavin surprisingly fell silent.
