Jaden: 'Allo governors, Jaden here. For the first Pokemon type list, I will start with the one with the least amount of Pokemon and work my way up. Today is the ice type.
Thundrr: Can you please tell me why it's snowing?
Jaden: Well, there will be a theme for each list so I decided to take everyone to a snowy place.
Anna: *in a lot of snow gear* Please be quick, I wanna go and get hot chocolate.
Jaden: Ok, here we go.
Number 10
Jaden: I used to like this Pokemon a lot when I was younger. Now that I do a lot of competitive, I started to not use it as much. It's the legendary bird, Articuno.
Thundrr: All ready, a legendary.
Anna: And in the number 10 spot.
Jaden: I mean, when I first heard of this Pokemon at age 9, I really liked it. Blue is my favourite colour and it looked so majestic. But once I started doing more competitive play, I started to lose my liking towards it. It's not very strong, has a lot of weakness AND IS TERRIBLE WHEN SOMEONE USES STEALTH ROCKS!!!
Thundrr: Dear god, not the stealth rocks.
Jaden: But I liked it growing up so it makes it to the list.
Number 9
Jaden: Next up is Alolan Sandslash.
Anna: You like it?
Jaden: Yes, once it was first introduced, I wasn't too sure about it. After using it for a while, it grew on me and it does fairly decent in competitive. Also, that sleek design.
Thundrr: I have to agree with him, that design is pretty cool.
Number 8
Jaden: Generation 4 introduced many additional evolutions to Pokemon that were made in the past. One of them being the dawn stone evolution of Snorunt, Froslass.
Anna: Such a majestic Pokemon.
Jaden: As I do like it, it does have a bit of a downside. The main reason as to why i was put off by it was the fact that you can only have it female so I would need to catch a female Snorunt. Now why would that be bad? Well, when i was on my quest on completing the Pokedex, I tried to search for a female Snorunt. I COULD NEVER FIND ONE!!!
Thundrr: You must have bad luck.
Jaden: I think I do.
Number 7
Jaden: This one, i had to decide between two of the ice types introduced in the first generation. Lapras or Cloyster. Then I remembered, Lapras sucks in competitive play, so this spot was taken by Cloyster.
Anna To be fair, Cloyster has a better ranking in Smogon than Lapras.
Jaden: Of course, not only does it look cool, it's a potential sweeper. Thanks to it's high defensive stats, it can easily take hits. Once more, use two Shell Smashes and you're more likely to sweep the whole opponent's team. However, there are much better sweepers in Pokemon that are much better so that's why it's number 7.
Number 6
Jaden: I only have this Pokemon on this part mainly because it looks pretty cool in my opinion. Beartic, the polar bear that has an icy beard.
Thundrr: Are there any other reasons?
Jaden: No, it just looks cool and it has a good ability called Slush Rush.
Anna: Ok.
Number 5
Jaden: So this one is here because it's pretty good in competitive. I mean, my friend used it a lot and everyone would hate it when it landed a Hypnosis.
Thundrr: Which one is that?
Jaden: Alolan Ninetales, probably one of the best Alolan forms in competitive. Well, maybe after Marowak. Though the one my friend had, I absolutely hated.
Anna: Why is that?
Jaden: It had Pokerus which was really annoying. But other than that, it is very good in competitive hands down. But the only generation 7 games I have are Pokemon Moon and Ultra Moon, I could never catch one.
Thundrr: That's sad.
Number 4
Jaden: This one is actually a popular option for competitive. Mamoswine, a bulky and hard hitting Pokemon.
Anna: Really, this one I didn't expect.
Jaden: In competitive, it is actually very helpful. You can have it use stealth rocks or out speed opponents with ice shard. It's very versatile.
Thundrr: Interesting.
Number 3
Jaden: This one is probably the best Ice type Pokemon to use in competitive by far. Weavile, takes the number 3 spot.
Anna: I can see why it made the list.
Jaden: Correct, Weavile is an amazing Pokemon in competitive. It can learn moves that have priority like Fake Out and Ice Shard. Also, it out speeds most Pokemon being one of the fastest. I think the only problem I would have using this is if I go up against a person using a Ninjask.
Thundrr: Ah yes, Ninjask is the second fastest Pokemon.
Number 2
Jaden: The runner up is Kyurem, the legendary dragon that is broken.
Anna: Broken?
Jaden: Yeah, it's the last remaining piece of the original Unovan Dragon. It was split after the two brothers who owned it had a conflict. Because of this, the dragon split into Reshiram and Zekrom also leaving Kyurem as a broken piece. And the fact that it can change form by fusing with either dragons is awesome.
Number 1
Jaden: My favourite Ice type of all time is, Glalie.
Thundrr: Wait what?
Anna: Why that thing?
Jaden: Let me explain, when I first played the third generation, I encountered a Snorunt. I caught it and when it evolved into a Glalie, I absolutely loved it. It has a cool design, the anime's portrayal was awesome and it was given an awesome Mega Evolution. Also, when I played Pokemon Glazed, I used that Pokemon in my main team. I grew up with it my whole Pokemon playing life and it stuck by me.
Thundrr: Now I understand.
Anna: Agreed.
