What I want to see in Sword and Shield

Jaden: 'Allo governors Jaden here. I know it has been a while since I've posted a top ten but I spent a long time trying to come up with an idea of a top ten and I finally got one. Since the release of Pokemon Sword and Shield is coming on its way, and that most things haven't been fully revealed, I wanted to list off ten things I want to see in the final game.

Thundrr: I'm joining.

Ryuto: Me too.

Jaden: Also, this will be in no particular order, except for number 1.

Number 10

Jaden: Now, I am a huge fan of the 4th Generation and I personally like Heartgold the most. And that game plus Soulsilver, they introduced following Pokemon. Having the Pokemon at the first slot of your party and have it follow you around like a partner was great.

Thundrr: You could even interact with them too.

Jaden: I know Let's go did that as well but we will also be seeing more Pokemon, hopefully.

Number 9

Jaden: There are 18 types in the Pokemon Games as a whole. 19 if you count the Shadow Type from Colloseum and XD. But I would like to see if Game Freak could come up with another type. MandJTV actually made a video about new possible types that can be added. And when I was younger, I wanted a Magic type. However that idea was going to happen but they changed it to Fairy Type. I actually would've liked the new type had it stuck with Magic Type.

Ryuto: To be honest with you, I agree. Magic Type sounds way better than Fairy.

Number 8

Jaden: Another thing common are type combinations, many Pokemon are two types and they have some sort of meaning behind it whether it is design, lore or how they work. That is why I want new Pokemon type combos. Personally, I want a Poison Steel type combo.

Thundrr: They could make like Galarian forms and Honedge to be a poison tipped blade.

Jaden: Yeah, and maybe a Fire and Ice type Pokemon like that guy from My Hero Academia. Who was it again?

Ryuto: It's Todoroki.

Jaden: That's right, like Todoroki. (I have never seen My Hero Academia so please don't judge me)

Number 7

Jaden: I know not many people would want this but as a Heartgold fan, I would love to bring this back. The Pokeathalon was one of my favourite features. I hated contests and I thought it was going to be like that. But upon realising that they had loads of mini games to play, I instantly enjoyed them.

Ryuto: And they make good competitive games to play with your friends too.

Number 6

Jaden: Another thing that is inspired by a Heartgold feature. I want to bring back Pokeball making. I know some of the Pokeballs Kurt made weren't that popular but there are some that are good. The Fast Ball is good for Pokemon with high speed or are capable of fleeing. The Heavy Ball is great for large scale Pokemon. And the Level Ball is good at catching Pokemon with a large level difference.

Thundrr: Yeah, those are the good Pokeballs unlike the rest. *cough* Moon Ball *cough*

Number 5

Jaden: Kind of similar to the last one, I would like a new type of Pokeball introduced. Actually, this part is kind of inspired by what one of my friends said when Sun and Moon was on sale.

Thundrr: What would that be?

Jaden: He had Sun while I had Moon. He wasn't happy at the fact that there was a Dusk Ball and not a ball for the day time. That made catching Pokemon a lot easier on Moon since it was night time during the day for players and making more use of the Dusk Ball. While Sun kept at the same time and couldn't utilise the Dusk Ball due to it being sunny.

Ryuto: So he wanted a Pokeball opposite to the Dusk Ball.

Jaden: Yeah, he called it the Dawn Ball. I don't know, should there be a ball like this? Comment what you think.

Number 4

Jaden: There is one thing that I really miss from the original games. And that is the bike. I would love to have the bike back again. Mainly because I just want to hear the words "There is a time and place for everything but not now".

Ryuto: Of course, the classic can't ride a bike indoors.

Number 3

Jaden: One of my favourite things about Pokemon was reviving Fossil Pokemon. You see, a lot of the Fossil Pokemon are very good. Well, except for Aurorus but we won't get into too much detail. I would love to see a new Fossil Pokemon. But really, I'd like to see more than two. The only time there has been three and not two Fossil Pokemon is the very first Generation with Aerodactyl. I would like it if they brought a third Fossil with them.

Thundrr: Yeah, and make it like a leader of the other too.

Jaden: Possibly.

Number 2

Jaden: Since the new Pokemon game will be on the switch, the wifi connection will be a lot better. Therefore, give us something better than the Festival Plaza. It is really annoying to have a low FPS when using a standard 3DS instead of XL and I hate it when the connection randomly cuts off. I have no idea why one of my friends likes it.

Thundrr: Yeah, I hope they make something better than Festival Plaza.

Number 1

Jaden: Many of those who know me might have heard this statement before. I have wanted this for a long time. When it comes to gaining an Event Pokemon, I want a story behind it. Yes, I definitely want this no doubt about it. I really hate that when a Legendary Pokemon Event comes out, all you get is a guy at the Pokemon Centre that just gives you the Pokemon. Game Freak, I'd like a story.

Ryuto: Yeah, like Darkrai, the Regis, Cresselia and Shaymin. They all had a side quest to do to make it more interesting. Nowadays, it's just given to you. Man, I miss those side quests.
