Top 10 Favourite Smash Characters

Jaden: 'Allo governors, Jaden here. As you all may know from my conversation feed, I had recently got the new Smash Ultimate game for Christmas. While I still am unlocking more characters, I did get to play the full game on my cousin's fiance's Switch. And believe me, the game is amazing.

Ryuto: WHY DIDN'T THEY PUT SORA INTO THE GAME!!!

Jaden: Calm down mate, you shouldn't be screaming all the time about the fact that Sora isn't in the new Smash.

Ryuto: But I felt that he fits in.

Jaden: Well, I'm just as unhappy as you are because they put Incineroar instead of Decidueye and the fact that Shovel Knight is an assist trophy. Actually, if they made him a character, his amiibo would have more uses. And I still find it stupid that Piranha Plant is a playable character.

Anna: That I do find true.

Jaden: Well, now we'll go into the ten characters that I like in Smash Ultimate. Keep in mind that this list is mainly about the usage of the character.

Number 10

Jaden: For this part, I'm going to put Ness in the bottom part. Mainly because he isn't as powerful as the other characters.

Anna: Really?

Jaden: Yeah, and anyone who is good at playing Ness knows the useful PK Thunder jump. And his final smash is way better than Lucas' because is hits opponents a lot easier.

Anna: Oh yeah, Lucas' goes everywhere while Ness' is in a good formation.

Number 9

Jaden: Now, Kirby would have been higher on the list but to be honest, I find him not as good as before.

Ryuto: How come?

Jaden: Well, Kirby is a bit harder to use now and some of the attacks are a bit slower than normal. I do give props to it being the one that survives the story, though I think the only reason why is because Masahiro Sakurai is the creator of Kirby.

Ryuto: I mean, that does make sense.

Jaden: While I do like the Ultra Sword final smash, it's more avoidable than the Cook Kirby one in Brawl, still good though.

Number 8

Jaden: Many people might know as to why this character is low on the list.

Anna: Which character?

Jaden: It's Meta Knight.

Ryuto: I know, because he isn't as overpowered as he was when he was in Brawl.

Jaden: Yeah, but he's still a good character to use.

Number 7

Jaden: There's always the debate on who is better, Fox or Falco? In my opinion, I prefer Falco.

Anna: Is it because your favourite colour is blue?

Jaden: Partially, but I prefer Falco's more stubborn and angsty attitude compared to Fox's more calm and collected style. And I am so glad that the final smash isn't the Landmaster anymore because it is terrible. Falco doesn't even use the landmaster.

Anna: Now that you think about it, the landmaster was kind of hard to use.

Number 6

Jaden: When I heard that this character was being brought back in Smash for Wii U and 3DS, I wanted the game. At the time, I couldn't use him but now I can in Ultimate. Dr. Mario takes the number 6 spot.

Ryuto: Really? You like Dr. Mario?

Jaden: Yes, when he was introduced in Melee, I really enjoyed using him. I was kind of unhappy that he wasn't in Brawl but now that they brought him back, I'm just happy.

Anna: Why exactly do you prefer Dr. Mario over the original?

Jaden: His final smash is better, the design of some of his moves are cool and I can scream "TAKE YOUR MEDICINE" at people when I use the neutral special.

Anna: Oh yeah, he throws pills instead of fireballs when he does that.

Number 5

Jaden: Now, a trend that I see in the Smash games is that they either put a popular Pokemon or a new Pokemon from a recent generation. Well, they did both when Greninja was added. I mean, I love this Pokemon ever since it was released and it being in Smash warms my heart.

Anna: Better yet, they changed its final smash.

Jaden: That's correct, now Greninja turns into Ash-Greninja when he uses his final smash.

Ryuto: Now that is awesome.

Number 4

Jaden: I'm going to have to admit it, I've never played Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild. But Legend of Zelda has always been one of my favourite game series growing up. And the new Breath of the Wild Link is just amazing.

Ryuto: I agree, the design on this is game is amazing.

Jaden: And I do like the Breath of the Wild elements they have like the remote bombs and the Ancient Bow and Arrow. Makes it better than the whole slashing in the triforce thing.

Anna: Yeah, that final smash was very repetitive.

Number 3

Jaden: Pit has always been one of my favourite characters growing up. The Kid Icarus games are really good in my opinion. But Pit has become way better now.

Anna: How so?

Jaden: Well, his up special is a lot easier to use and he is very strong now. But the final smash is where he truly shines. In Brawl, his final smash was the Centurion army which I personally don't like that much. In Wii U and 3DS, it becomes the 3 Sacred Treasures which was a step up. But Smash Ultimate made it better with the Lightning Chariot.

Ryuto: Oh yeah, that chariot decimates anyone in its vicinity.

Number 2

Jaden: I have mained this character ever since I played Brawl. And by far, he is my favourite Fire Emblem character of all. Ike will always be one of the best characters in Smash for me.

Anna: What do you like about him compared to other Fire Emblem characters?

Jaden: Well, compared to most FE characters, he's one of the few that has killed a god. His moveset is very easy to use and his final smash looks amazing when you use it.

Ryuto: Yeah, I like all the slashes.

Number 1

Jaden: This character is by far my best character when I play the game. The one character that takes the top spot on this list is Shulk.

Ryuto: Really? What do you like about Shulk?

Jaden: Well, the Monado Arts is an interesting concept and they have been very helpful to me in battle time and time again. And the Visionary ability is so useful.

Anna: What's the Visionary ability?

Jaden: It's a form of counterattack by looking into the future to see what will happen and change it. It is really useful and rarely anyone sees it coming.

Ryuto: I'll say, you even told me that no one really sees it unless they understand the character.

Jaden: Exactly.

Ryuto: Also, didn't you tell me that you now ship him as well?

Jaden: Yes, I ship him and Fiora now. At least it's canon.

Anna: Oh Jaden, you always ship people when you can see a connection.
