My Opinion on the Smash DLC so far

Jaden: 'Allo governors, Jaden here. I was originally going to do a "My Opinion on all Smash characters so far" but I felt that that would take too long. Considered the fact that there are 80 characters as of making this. So I'm only going to talk about the DLC characters and how I feel about them from whom I like least to whom I like the most. Joining me today is my good pal, Thundrr.

Thundrr: Hello.

Jaden: Also, I will not be including the Arms Character because it hasn't been fully released yet. I hope it's Ninjara because he's my favourite Arms Character.

Thundrr: Onto the list.

Number 6

Jaden: The one I like the least is Banjo & Kazooie.

Audience: BOO!!! YOU SUCK!!! BANJO WAS THE BEST CHOICE!!! YOU UNCULTURED SWINE!!!

Thundrr: Hold up, let him speak.

Jaden: Thank you Thundrr, anyway. The reason why Banjo & Kazooie is my least favourite DLC is because unlike most people, I never had the childhood of playing his games. Because most people that were excited for him being added were people who grew up with the character. I didn't so I don't have that personal connection. Also, I find him to be the least gimmicky character of the DLC Fighters Pass. I mean, he's the only character to have a limited move. And just to give you an insight, I didn't celebrate during his reveal trailer.

Thundrr: Now you know the reason behind it.

Number 5

Jaden: Next on the list is Piranha Plant. I wasn't too excited because this was a random add on by Sakurai due to the leakers leaking information on Smash Ultimate. But I do find the character kind of funny and they were able to make him into a fighter which is not an easy feat considering the fact that all Piranha Plants did in the Mario Games was go in and out of pipes and try to kill Mario.

Thundrr: I like Piranha Plant, it shows that Smash can have unique characters.

Jaden: I'm still waiting on the day Phoenix Wright or Professor Layton get added.

Thundrr: That sounds cool.

Number 4

Jaden: Next on the list is Terry Bogard from King of Fighters. Now, I only knew about this character because I have played the King of Fighters Games, albeit, I'm not very good at it. And I did also watch him in the Ken vs Terry Death Battle.

Thundrr: Oh yeah, you told me that you were more excited about Terry than the Sans Mii Costume.

Jaden: Correct, and I like what Sakurai did for Terry in Smash. His hat flies off if he loses in Stamina Mode and the Go System where his most notable moves can be used via inputs. He is a skill based character so it will take time to get used to him. Other than that, I love that he is in the game.

Number 3

Jaden: This character received an unessecary amount of hate, Byleth from Fire Emblem: Three Houses. Just to let you know, I was one of the few people who actually was not upset by Byleth being added. And yes, I know that there were already 7 Fire Emblem Characters. But I am a fan of Fire Emblem so I was happy either way. Despite the fact that I have never played Three Houses, I didn't mind having another Fire Emblem.

Thundrr: This is why you are a good person, you are very accepting of choices.

Jaden: Thank you, so to anyone who hates Byleth, you are just turning into an arsehole. Byleth never deserved this much hate and he/she is such a unique character. Having a multitude of weapons. So with that said, I don't want more Byleth hate.

Number 2

Jaden: When the Fighter's Pass was announced, it was interesting how these new characters have never made an appearence in Smash. And their first choice of character was amazing, Joker. Now, I have never played any of the Persona Games, but Joker is such an amazing character.

Thundrr: Yeah, and his playstyle is really good. Fast speedy attacks with amazing combos and kill power. No wonder MKLeo is considered the best Smash Player. He can make this character one of the best.

Jaden: Not only that, the fact that Sakurai put as much detail as he can to make this character true to his sources. It is just absolutely splendid, Joker was a great start to the DLC.

Number 1

Jaden: My overall favourite DLC Character, is Hero from Dragon Quest. Now, I am a huge fan of Dragon Quest, and I really want to get 11. But the fact that they got such a long running series into Smash and from a Gaming Company who is very hard to make deals with is no small feat. But I mainly like Hero is because of the fact that he is probably the most unique character in all of Smash Ultimate.

Thundrr: Correct, his special moves have so many different varieties and his down special, Command Select, is the most interesting aspect. Having four random moves given to you and you choosing makes it feel almost like an RPG. And the 1 in 8 chance of Critical Hits is cool, despite the fact that it could apply to Fire Emblem and Pokemon Characters. And also characters like Shulk too.

Jaden: I mean, it was already done for Hero. They couldn't add it to others.

Thundrr: True.

Jaden: Other than that, I like how he is a random character and brought a new aspect of characters into Smash. I know a lot of people wanted him banned but those people are just a bunch a salty losers. Other than that, Hero will always be my favourite DLC until something in the next Fighter's Pass will change my mind. Also, I celebrated a lot when Hero was announced.

Thundrr: That he did.
