Ice Skating (Version 2)

Hey everyone! I wrote another version of this earlier in the book, but not that much earlier! 

Since there is a want to the imagine to be flipped, I am going to write it!

Your POV!

I am going out with my friends tonight and don't get me wrong, I love them but I don't love what they picked out for us to do.

They picked ice skating. 

I DO NOT KNOW HOW TO SKATE.

And to make it all better, Y/c/n is going. He is REALLY good at skating, and I am afraid I am going to embarrass myself. But, I am not going to miss out on an opportunity to hang out with my crush so I guess I am going to go!

I walked to my closet and picked out a warm outfit. I picked out black jeans, a cream sweater and a dark green jacket. I threw on my black shoes and went to go freshen up. I did light makeup and I put my hair up into a ponytail.

After I was finished, I went to the couch until my friends arrived to pick me up. After about 10 minutes my phone went off. I checked it and it was a text from my friend. It said... "We're here. Come outside, last seat is in the backseat!"

I sighed, of course I had to sit in the back. I walked outside and saw my friend's car. I opened up the door and saw Y/c/n in the middle. Here we go, I get to sit next to my crush in the car...Do not embarrass yourself!

I sat down and smiled, "Hey guys!"

I got a chorus of hey's and hi's. We started driving to the rink when my friend said, "Oooo! Y/n, you look so cute!"

I smiled and said, "Thanks!" Then the unthinkable happened, y/c/n said, "You look pretty."

I smiled and blushed a real dark red. I thanked him and he asked, "Who knows how to skate?"

My other 2 friends said, "I do!" 

Y/c/n looked between me and my 3rd friend. (There are 5 of us total!)

"You guys don't know how to skate?" We both shook our heads.

Of course, my two friends who know how to skate offered to take my other friend who can't skate and help her. That left me and Y/c/n together. 

He smiled, "Don't worry, I'll help you." I nodded and I am really nervous now!

We arrived at the rink a few minutes later and we all got out. We walked inside and I saw y/c/n have a bag.

"What's that?" I asked. He smiled and said, "Oh, this has my skates."

I nodded and he sat down putting on his skates. While he did that my friends and I went and got rental skates. We sat down by Y/c/n and he finished putting on his skates. I put my skates on and stared at them like they could tie themselves.

Y/c/n noticed and laughed, "Do you need help?" I smiled and nodded.

He got onto the ground in front of me and started tying them. "Is it too tight?" I shook my head and he smiled, "Good!"

After we had all our skates on, we went to go get our wristbands for open skate. They were the kind where they had the snaps on them and they are literally impossible to get them on by yourself. So I was obviously struggling to put the stupid bracelet on and Y/c/n noticed.

"Do you want me to do it for you?" I nodded and he took my band and put in on me. 

He's been noticing a lot today....weird. We head over to the ice and see people already skating on it. So my three other friends get on the ice and they help the one who can't skate and then they're off! 

They left me with my crush! Thanks....

I get on the ice before he does and almost face plant. Y/c/n caught me and stabilized me while laughing.

"You weren't joking when you said you don't know how to skate!"

I turned around and glared at him and said, "Did you think I was being sarcastic or something?"

He just smiled and stood next to me. "Ok, here is how you go forward." He showed me his foot work and looked at me. "Your turn."

I just stared at him, "Really? I'm gonna fall!"

He smiled and stood in front of me with his hands out. I stared at them and he said, "Take my hands, I won't let you fall. I promise!"

I carefully took his hands, not being able to make eye contact. My face probably looked like a tomato, but that's life!

I looked at my feet and cautiously started moving. I was starting to get the hang of it when Y/c/n let go and I lost balance. I almost face planted again because all my weight was forward and that leads to falls! He kept his promise though and caught me before I hit the ice.

He picked me up and stabilized me again. He laughed and said, "Sorry, you were doing well so I thought you had gotten the hang of it!"

I glared at him and said, "Obviously not." He pouted and said, "Awe, the little y/n is in a sour mood! Makes me so sad!" He did the puppy dog look and I smiled.

"Ah! There's that pretty smile." I blushed and laughed, "Stop complimenting me! I can't handle it!"

He laughed and gave me a hug...What is he doing?! I mean, I am not mad that he is doing it but I'm just confused.

I hugged back and he looked me in the eye, but I looked away because this was all really...not embarrassing but I was nervous!

He smiled and grabbed my chin. He brought it back and made me look at him. "You know you're cute right?"

I stood there wide eyed, "Uh.." He smirked, "Well, listen, that 'uh' better turn into a yes. You need to know how adorable and pretty you are!"

I laughed nervously and he helped me skate again. We were doing ok, and I was finally ready to let go of his hands to try it by myself. "Ok, here." He skated a few feet away from me, "Skate to me, and remember I won't let my princess fall." I smiled and said, "Why are you being so flirty today?"

"Because you're pretty." I smiled and tried skating towards him. I was so close when I tripped over my toe pick. 

"Ok, that was good! You would've done it if you hadn't tripped but all figure skaters trip so that doesn't matter!"

I smiled and he said, "How about we go around the rink? Fast!"

My eyes widened and he grabbed my hands and started skating off, very fast I must admit.

The rest of the night was filled with laughter and falls. But we eventually caught up to our other friends and we skated the night away.

Right as we were leaving he said, "Hey y/n, how about we do this again? Just next us next time, though. It'll be a date. "

I was frozen and he laughed, "I'll take that blush on your face as a yes!"
