School Concert

Hi! Today's story was requested by sockdragon ! Thank you soooo much for requesting! 

This a cute idea! I had a good time writing this, I hope you like it!

Today was the school's concert and you were singing in it.

You were beyond nervous and you picked a special song. This song was a love song that always reminds you of your crush, Y/c/n. 

Now you knew that Y/c/n wouldn't know it was about him but you still couldn't shake off the feeling of nervousness.

You were currently in your room getting ready. You picked a special outfit for tonight. It consisted of Y/f/o.

You went into the bathroom to freshen up and do final touches to your look. After you finished you grabbed all your stuff and headed out the door!

The whole ride to school was nerve-racking. You tried to use the tactics you read on how to calm stage fright. 

To be honest...it wasn't working! Those thoughts of 'you're going to forget the words' or 'people will think you are a bad signer' kept coming back.

Now obviously those thoughts weren't true and you were just having pre-show butterflies. You were a great singer and everyone knew it. 

Once you arrived to school you got out and went inside to the gymnasium.

The gym was decorated like a prom for some reason...Weird but hey, there's a budget so I get it.

There was a mini stage under one of the basketball hoops and it had your school's name in big letters.

There were streamers everywhere and the lights were off. Obviously you could still see with the decoration lights and stuff but it added a party vibe to the whole thing.

You walked over to the dj booth to look at the lineup for the performers. 

You was 3rd. Great, the first two performer's acts are going to be torturous for you. 

You took a deep breath and went to find your friends. "Hey Y/n!" Your friend yelled.

You looked over and smiled, "Hey Y/f/n! You look amazing!"

"Thanks! You look wonderful! Are you ready for your song?" 

You sighed, "No, I am so nervous. And you know that I picked the special song!"

They nodded, "Yeah, but it's not like they're going to know unless you tell them!"

You nodded, "Yeah, I guess you're right."

You started to dance a little bit but then the performances started happening. 

You excused yourself and went over to the fake stage. You had 2 more until you and you were getting more and more nervous.

Then you felt a tap on your shoulder, you looked over and saw Y/c/n!

"Um, hi?" You asked confused.

Y/c/n smiled, "Hey Y/n! I didn't know you were performing!"

You nodded, "Yep, I am really nervous though, I am kind of regretting it!"

Y/c/n laughed, "Awe, you'll be ok! You will do great! Are you singing?"

You nodded and he said, "Cool! What song?"

"S/t, it's kind of for a special someone." After you said that you instantly regretted it. 

"OOOO!! Does miss Y/c have a crush?!" Y/c/n yelled.

You gasped and shushed him, "No, now go dance or something."

He smirked and said, "I will find out who it is missy! But good luck!  I know you're going to be fantastic."

You smiled and then that smile faded when you realized you were next. 

They announced your name and you shakily walked onstage. You gripped the microphone tight and the music started to play.

Then you started to sing.

People were wowed. Some started to sing along, just like a concert. This gave you a boost of confidence.

You started to smile while you sang and when the very specific lyric came around you caught Y/c/n eye and you had little moment.

You couldn't believe this was happening. You finished the song off strong and walked off stage.

YOU DID IT!!!!

Your friends came running over and told you how good you did!

Then y/c/n came over and said, "Y/n, can I talk to you for a second?"

Your eyes widened but you went with him.

He took you into the hallway alone and he took a deep breath.

"Y/n, was that song for me?"

You blushed and looked down. You started stumbling over words and he laughed, "I was really hoping so! I have liked you for a while now, I was just too scared you would reject me. I'm sorry, I wish I would've told you sooner. So maybe we could hang out sometime? Like a date?"

You gasped and looked up, "Are you serious?"

He nodded and this time it was his turn to blush. "Yeah, I am serious."

You smiled, "I would love to."
