Everyone wanted to do something for Desti's birthday since she missed celebrating on her actual birthday. So Luke was told to keep Desti out of the Institute for a few hours, so everyone could decorate. Luke bought her a new outfit. She loved it and could not wait to see Alec's reaction.
Time skips to 2 pm later that same day
Luke and Desti headed back home, Desti already in her outfit ready and everything. She was excited for what ever it was they were doing. She was in for a fun surprise.
Desti's POV
Luke and I just pulled back up to the Institute, he got out of the car and helped me out of the car. He led me to the front door, where Alec was waiting for us and Luke handed me over and kissed my forehead and went inside. I went to walk in the building but Alec tugged me back gently into his arms. I giggled and he told me " You look absolutely stunning, you literally took my breath away when I saw you, I have a present for you that I can not wait to give you."
Alec's POV
I had decided to throw Desti a birthday party to celebrate her 19th birthday, because she could not celebrate it on the day because of Valentine. I told everyone my plan and they agreed to help me put it all together. The day of the party arrived and I was bursting with excitement, I was also nervous about how Desti would react. Luke texted me that Desti picked out a pink dress. So I went to my room and got into a pink button up and black jeans and nice shoes. Then Luke texted me when they just pulled in and I went and waited outside the doors, when Luke helped her out of the car and I saw her, she literally took my breath away, she was an absolute angel, she had a glow. Luke walked her over to me and he handed her hand to me and then kissed her forehead and went inside. Desti started to walk inside but I tugged her back in to my arms and she giggled. I then told her " You look absolutely stunning, you literally took my breath away, you are not only an angel, you are my angel, I have a present for you that I can not possibly wait any longer to give to you." I told her to close her eyes and when I told her to do something she would need to do it. " Desti answered saying " Alright."
I got the bag and I told her to lift her and I clasped the necklace around her neck and I quickly changed her earrings and then I stood in front of her and told her to open her eyes and I had the ring box in my hand and she gasped and I saw tears gather in her eyes, and I said " This is not an engagement ring, but it is a promise that I want to be by your side forever if you will let me." She now had tears streaming down her face and then she leapt into my arms and kissed me and when we pulled away, she smiled and said " Does that answer your question?" I said "Definitely!!!!" I then put the ring on her finger and kissed her hand and then her lips again. I then wrapped my arm around her waist and escorted her into the building.
Narrator's POV
Everyone was hiding inside and when they heard Desti's heels stop clicking the floor, they all jumped up and yelled " SURPRISE!!!!!!" They saw she had tears running down her face and they gave her a big group hug. They all pulled away and Desti asked " Who thought of this?"Alec looked down sheepishly and everyone replied with "Alec!!!!!!!!" Desti threw herself into Alec's arms and kissed him. She pulled away and he was smiling like an idiot and stammering. I giggled and then Simon yelled " Presents!!!!" Desti opened her presents and cried alot of tears of happiness.
