-Your POV-
"John, you have to promise me something." I said to John as we walked down the street me on his arm.
"What is it my love?" He ask look forward, "promise you'll come back to me." I stop walking and looked at him.
"I promise, I'll come back to you. I love you so much." He said kissing my lips.
"I love you too. Please I need you John, we need you." I moved his hand on to my tiny baby bump.
"I'll be back for you and little Olivia." He smiled looking down at the bump.
"You named the baby already! You don't even know the gender baby." I laughed at him.
"I have a feeling, it's gonna be a little girl, and I'm gonna come to you both." I gave him a kiss and we kept walking.
——————-
Me and John wrote each other everyday, keeping him updated on the baby the worst thing was when I went into labor without John by my side but I had Eliza helping me through it with the doctors, John was right, a little baby girl we named Olivia Jane Laurens, with beautiful freckles just like his.
I wrote John telling him the great new ask him to come home soon so he could see the baby but I never got a letter back, one month went by and no letter or news about John.
I was holding Olivia when a knock  came from the door, quickly I ran to the door hoping it was John, I opened it to see General Washington standing there with his hat off. "Mrs. Laurens. Lovey to see you, may I come in?"
"Yes, come in please." He took off his coat and made his way to the living room.
"Would you like some coffee or tea General?" I ask putting Olivia down in a crib to take a nap. "No I'm fine. Mrs. Laurens I have news about you husband I think you should be sitting for this." He said sitting in Johns chair. I take a seat in my chair facing the General.
"Mrs. Laurens, I'm sorry you're husband died." "What!" I said holding back my tears.
"I'm sorry Mrs. Laurens, your husband was a great soldier, he died with honor and with you and your little girl in his thoughts." I rushed over to Olivia and held her close sobbing.
The only living thing I have a John left is this little girl. General Washington came up behind me
"my condolences." He said before leaving my home. I didn't hear Hercules and Lafayette walk into my house.
"John would of loved to see her." Hercules said putting his hand on my back, I put her down and turned to hug them both.
"We'll take care of you Y/N, John would of wanted us to." Lafayette said in the hug. "Thank you." I sobbed into Lafayette's shoulder.
