-Your POV-
"Phillip calm down what happened?" I asked. Phillip was upset, some man named George Eacker apparently talked about Mr. Hamilton his father and he wasn't happy about it. "He was talking about my father Y/N! I told him to met me at the dueling ground! I'm a Hamilton with pride." He walked back and forth in the living room. I stood up. "Phillip. Tell me your Joking." He shook his head. "No I'm not." "Phillip, a duel is no joke. You know my father died in duel and I'm not gonna lose my boyfriend the same way!" I said trying not to cry. He saw this and walked over to me. "Your not gonna lose me my dear. I promise." He put his hand up to my face and whipped away the tears that fell. I held his hand up to my face. "I talked to my father he gave me his gun. I'm not gonna shoot him, I'm just gonna shoot at the sky and that will end the duel. I promise." He put his hands on my hips pulling me into a kiss. "I have to go meet Eacker. I'll be home soon my dear." An hour later and he still wasn't home. I only got news when one of Phillips friends ran into the house telling me Phillips been shot. As quick as I could I ran to with him to the place Phillip was. I saw him laying down with his mom and dad by his side. "PHILLIP!" I cried running to his side. "Hi dear." He said running his hands though my hair. "Phillip! What the hell. You said you wouldn't get hurt. You promise." I sobbed putting hand on his face that felt cold. "I know, I'm sorry my love. I-I love you baby." He whispered before falling back onto the bed. "No! NO PHILLIP! Not now! I love you Phillip!" I sobbed on the his chest. How was I gonna live with out him in my life? Soon the Hamilton's left leaving just me and his body in the room alone. I started playing with his hair. Trying not to cry more. "You stupid idiot. Why did you have to go and challenge him?" The week after was awful. I moved back in with my parents and we sold the house me and Phillip lived in. I was with my mother when a knock came from the door. When I opened it and saw George Eacker standing there. "Mr. Eacker." I said coldly "Ms. L/N. I would like to apologize." He said looking at the ground. "I was scared and nervous. I shot to early and-" before he cause finish I slammed the door in his face. I didn't want to hear a thing that awful man had to say. I walked to my moms room and held onto her as I cried. I missed my Phillip.
