-His POV-
I took a deep breath before knocking on the door. Today I was asking Y/N's older brother Alexander to marry her because their father left a long time ago. "Lafayette! It's lovey to see you!" Eliza said opening the door. "Hello Mrs. Hamilton, is Alexander home?" "Yes he's in his office, follow me please." She let me in and shut the door behind me. I followed her to his office where he was sitting at his desk writing (no surprise there) "Alexander, someone would like to see you." Eliza said walking into his office. "Ok my dear." He said with a smile I walked him and shut the door behind Eliza as she left. "Lafayette! So good to see you! What bring you here?" He said standing up from the desk to give me a hug. "Hello Alexander. I needed to ask you a very important question." He sat back down behind his desk and I sat across from him. "I want to marry Y/N, and I want your permission to marry her sir. I love Y/N very much she means the world to me." My leg bounced up and down nervously waiting for him to answer me. "Lafayette, your my closest friend. Of course I'll let you marry my sister!" He said happily. My face lit up. "Oh thank you Alexander. I'll protect and care for her and love her for forever." I have him a hug to thank him. "I trust you Laf, but if you hurt her in anyway your dead, you know my sister means a lot to me." I nodded "I won't Alexander. Thank you." I gave him a hug then left. That night we went to the park that night, I was trying calm my nerves. What if she said no? Or what if she broke up with me like right now? I took a deep breath and sat on a park bench. She sat next to me  and laid her head in my shoulder. "mon amour, I want to ask you something." I said turning so I was facing her. "What is it Laf?" "I love you very much and your my everything, and I want to be be with forever. So will you marry me?" I got down on one knee and showed her the ring that my mother originally owned before she passes away. "Oh Lafayette! Oui! Yes!" I slipped the ring on her finger and kissed her. "I love you mon amour." I whisper to her. "I love you more."
