Run away

It had been hours since I left Shawn's apartment. I roamed endlessly on the street not knowing where I was going. I had calmed down by now, but thoughts still slightly crept in the corners of my mind. The sun began to set, as the sight of pedestrians on the side walk became less and less till I was all almost alone. I stopped and sat down against the wall of an art store. I took out my phone seeing that it was only 8PM along with 6 texts from Riley. Each text asking if I was alright since I haven't been answering. I replied with a simple "hey." Only to have my phone buzz a minute later. I pressed answer and held the phone to my face.
"Hey Riles," I said dryly.

"Maya are you alright? I'm worried, you
haven't been answering."

"Y-yeah, I'm just going through stuff."

"Would you like some company?"

I hesitated, debuting if I should say yes. I didn't really know if I should. "If you want to," I told her quietly.

"Alright. Are you at your house?"

"Um no, I-im not sure exactly where I am."

"Well how about this. Send me your map location on your phone and I'll be there soon."

"Alright I'll do that."

"Be safe Maya."

With that we both hung up. I slipped in to a small alleyway and sent her my location. Holy crap! I was all the way on the other side of town! Did I really walk that far?
I sat there in the in the dirt staring at the ground waiting for Riley to come. The darkness of the world began to surround its self around me, with only dull street lights on the side walk to light it up. I tried to gather myself together before Riley showed up. Pushing all my thoughts and feelings down.
Time passed by until I saw I shadow a petite figure  standing in front of me.

"Maya?"

It was Riley. "Hey" was all I could pull out of my mouth. I stood up and walked over to her following her back to the street.
