Chapter Three: Tryouts Part 2

(I'm going to start giving the chapters titles so you have an idea of what's going to be happening in the chapter. The last chapter was part 2 and that's why it says part 2. Hope you enjoy)

Todoroki POV

I swear that throw could have knocked someone out in less than a second if it hit them. That was amazing.

Wait, I think I remember Midoriya from somewhere... I remember that throw.

He was on the other team that my team played against during the championship last season, I remember them getting most of their outs from their catcher's throws. Even our fastest player, a guy named Tenya Iida, I believe he's here too, even got out from his throws and he has a speed type quirk! Well I guess, you would need a quirk that can stop time to beat Midoriya's throw. He was even the MVP at the end of the game, and that is amazing. To be the MVP of a game between the two best teams in your league, it must have felt amazing. Wait, if he's on our team, then we'll definitely win the championship in both state and regional, maybe even global. (I think that's what it is in high school.. I wouldn't know I play softball and I'm only going into junior high and my school doesn't have a softball or baseball team I think.)

Ugh, I need to stop fantasizing about the future of the team, and focus.

All Might was still talking to Midoriya about, who knows what, but all I could think about was that throw, I think I heard him say that his quirk is unidentified which means it could be anything!

I wonder if he has multiple quirks like me? (I know that Todoroki's quirk is technically one quirk but just has two elements, but I always say that he has two)

Midoriya POV

"What's your name, son?" Omg omg omg! All Might, my IDOL, wants to know my name!

"M-Midoriya I-Izuku!" Dang it I stuttered.

All Might POV (wow another new pov (I think))

'So I wasn't wrong, he is the catcher that got in on recommendation.'

Midoriya POV

Baseball tryouts have been going great so far. They even have this machine that they some how use to track how long the ball is in the air between when it leaves your hand to the other person's glove. So they told Kacchan to use one of the balls that they had connected to the machine and to just pitch it to me, which still makes me nervous for some reason. They told me to also wait a second after I got the pitch so they could prepare the machine for when I throw it to third and then second and switch between the two bases each throw (if that makes sense).

I threw about 5 to each base.

3rd: 0.8 seconds

2nd: 0.9 seconds

3rd: 0.6 seconds

2nd: 0.81 seconds

3rd: 0.5 seconds

2nd: 0.6 seconds

3rd: 0.54 seconds

2nd: 0.62 seconds

3rd: 0.4 seconds

Ok, this is the last throw to 2nd. Maybe I can get a new high score. This time I'll use a little more of my quirk but not enough to break my arm, which should be about 45%...

I caught Kacchan's pitch, waited a second until the assistant coach told me to throw it, then right after they told me to throw it I readied my quirk as green lightning started to form around my body and focused as much as I could to ONLY use 45% of my quirk and threw the ball. I looked down at my arm to see that it was a little bruised but not broken and still completely usable without hurting myself. I looked over at All Might and the assistant coach after I heard the loudest pop of a glove I've ever heard almost right after I left go of the ball to see that their mouths hung low and both of their eyes' wide, even wider than Todoroki's.

Result: 0.000001 seconds

I looked at the other people after the coaches said the result out loud and even Kacchan had a little bit of shock on his face.
