Ch. 11

I was sound asleep, cuddled up next to Ward. It was wonderful but something just had to ruin it. In this case it was the base's alarm. As soon as I heard it I jumped out of bed.

"What's happening?" Ward asked sleepily.

"That's the base's alarm." I said, opening the bedroom door. I turned around and looked at Ward. "Stay here."

I ran out the door. "May!" I yelled as she ran down the hallway. "What's happening."

"I set off the alarm." She said.

"Why?" I asked

"Because Ward escaped his cell." May said sternly.

Damn it! No one told May about Ward being released. "May" I said putting my hand on her shoulder. "Ward didn't escape."

"Yes he did!" She said practically yelling. "I was just down there."

"No May!" I yelled. "I know he didn't escape because I let him out!"

"WHAT!" May screamed as she shoved me against a wall and started choking me. "Are you Hydra too?" She yelled.

"No May." I choked out. "Coulson let me."

May released me and I fell to the ground. "Why?" May asked.

"Skye!" Someone yelled. I looked down the hall to see Ward.

"Ward." I said standing up.

"Are you ok?" He said checking me for any injuries.

"I'm fine." I said. "I promise."

"Ward!" May said frustrated. Before anyone else could talk May punched Ward and tackled him.

I saw that Ward wasn't fighting back. I was about to scream but someone else beat me to it. "May!" Someone yelled sternly. I looked up it was Coulson. "Get off of him!" He said.

May, angrily, obeyed Coulson and got off Ward. I ran to Ward and helped him up. Coulson had turned off the alarm now. "Why did you let him out?" May asked frustrated.

"Because of Skye." Coulson said calmly.

"What do you mean, because of Skye?" May asked.

"Because Skye is pregnant and Ward is the father." Coulson said.

"WHAT!" May screamed.

Just then FitzSimmons came running down the hall. "What is happening?" Jemma asked.

"May set of the alarm because she didn't know Ward had been released. She thought he had escaped." I said.

"Oh." Fitz said. "Well in that case I'm going back to bed."

"Me too." Jemma said, following Fitz down the hall to their rooms.

"Everyone just go to bed." Coulson said, then walked down the hallway to his room.

"Come on." I said. I grabbed Ward's hand and we walked back to our room.

I woke up to Ward crawling out of bed. "Where are you going." I asked rubbing my eyes.

He kissed my forehead. "Sorry I didn't mean to wake you up. I'm heading down to the gym."

I stood up out of bed. "Not without me." I said. I walked over to the closet and grabbed a t-shirt and leggings to change into.

"No!" Ward said sternly. I looked up at him. "I don't think it's healthy for you to be sparing with people and being thrown all over when there is a child in you stomach."

He had a good point. "Can I at least come down there with you?" I playfully begged.

Ward sighed in defeat. "Fine."

I went to the bathroom and brushed my teeth. Then I put my hair up. I stepped out of the bathroom. "Ok I'm ready to go." I said smiling. I grabbed Ward's hand and we walked down together.

I hope May isn't down here. I think we came late enough to avoid her. We walked into the gym. I looked around May wasn't in here. Yes!

Ward look down at me smiling. "Why are you so happy?" He asked nudging me with his elbow.

"Because I was worried May would be down here." I said blushing. "But she's not so I'm happy. I really did not want to have to deal with that this morning."

"Hey." Ward said placing his hand on my chin, forcing me to look up at him. "I promise to make your life as stress free as I possibly can."

I giggled. "Thanks." I said. "Now let's get ready to spar."

"Not gonna happen." Ward said as he walked over to the punching bag.

"Fine." I said, upset. Then I went to do some weight lifting. This is going to be a long 9 months.
