"The fact that you won pissed me off." Denny's spoke calmly, he leaned back in his chair. "I have established my restuarant's style and business flow very distinctly. The fact that others couldn't see that, enrages me." Denny's had a very serious tone to his voice. But, it was obvious he was relaxed. "But, you won fair and square." He shrugged his shoulders and smiled "I listened to what you were saying and I took note." Denny's smile went away and his chill demeanor changed to a dark, almost frightening one. Wafflehouse was clearly uncomfortable, he didn't know what to say. Before he could think about anything to say, Denny's continued " That last argument stuck with me like batter on an ungreased pan." Denny's stood up and cracked his knuckles. He tightened his apron "Stay seated, I have something to show you." He spoke through his teeth.

Wafflehouse did as he was told. He could not even imagine what was going to happen. Would it be a good idea to run? But, what if Denny's caught him? Wafflehouse cringed at the thought. "I'm sure you smelled something familiar while walking through the building." Wafflehouse watched Denny's as he walked near a large box and moved something from behind it. Wafflehouse couldn't pin what it was. But, that was the source of the scent he recognized earlier.

"Uh, yeah." Wafflehouse said hesitantly. He wasn't sure if Denny's statement was an invitation for him to speak. He gulped and twiddled with his thumbs as Denny's rummaged behind the box.

"Well, can you guess what it is?" Denny's looked at Wafflehouse and smirked. He placed a hand on his hip waiting for Wafflehouse's response.

"What is it?" Wafflehouse spoke slowly. He couldn't make direct eye contact with Denny's. He kept looking at his lap and back up at Denny's. Wafflehouse found it hard to look at him but even harder to look away.

"Guess." Denny's smiled, he fanned over the smell to Wafflehouse. Wafflehouse shook his head, he recognized the smell but couldn't pin what it was.

"I said, I don't know." Wafflehouse said more sternly. He was getting tired of this game Denny's was playing. He looked down at his lap and crossed his arms. He didn't know if it was a smart decision to have raised his voice like that to Denny's. He clenched his teeth in nervousness. But, a bigger wave of confusion washed over him as he heard Denny's laugh.

"Actually, you said 'what is it?' You didn't say you didn't know." Denny's laughed "If you said you didn't know I would have told you. You just asked what it was and I was hoping you would guess." Wafflehouse's anxiety was through the roof. He did not know what to expect from this guy. He felt like he should be fearful of him. But, Denny's had been so relaxed almost cheerful this entire time. Wafflehouse didn't know if he should be feeling this way around Denny's or if he was just getting in his own head too much.

Wafflehouse tried to go along with what Denny's said and force a small chuckle. "Um, yeah. I don't know." Wafflehouse looked back up at Denny's. He felt more relaxed but was still confused. "What is it?" Wafflehouse uncrossed his arms and placed them on his lap.

"They're pancakes!" Denny's spoke with enthusiasm. He pulled out a small grill from behind the box. "I thought about what you said earlier and thought it would be a good idea to make food in front of you." Wafflehouse squinted, was he actually serious? All this dramatic effect just so he could make food in front of him? "I'm not exactly sure what hepatitis taste like and you mentioned how we make our food behind a wall. So, to make sure my pancakes do not taste like hepatitis, I want you to try them!" Denny's gave a warm friendly smile.

Wafflehouse's eyes widened, he was actually serious. He started to laugh and relax a bit. He wasn't as anxious as he was. Denny's wanted to meet Wafflehouse to improve his business by making sure his pancakes did not taste like hepatitis. Wafflehouse started to laugh more. Denny's laughed along slowly, he wasn't sure why Wafflehouse had been tense the entire time and just now he had lossen up.
