Markus felt like his whole world was imploding. He watched as his friends, his family were shot down. North crumpled by his side and a bullet struck his arm. He panicked. He didn't know what he was supposed to do.
Connor came up to him, blue blood spilling down his face and jacket.
"Connor!" Markus ran to his friend, taking cover from the hell fire of bullets.
"Markus, I think this is it."
"Connor, don't say that, we can still win this."
"Why. Why?! They hate us! They don't want us to be free! They just want us to be slaves forever! It's not like they will ever care!"
"Connor, you know that's not true. Some of them do care".
"No. They don't Markus." The light that was once in Connors eyes was gone. Markus stared at his friend, there were burn marks from the fire, blue blood spilling out of his wounds, and his jaw was dislocated making his lips crooked.
"There is still hope Connor there has to be". Connor didn't answer.
Markus got up, leaving Connor behind the barrier they had taken cover under. With a charge of hope and courage, he ran. Right into the middle of the hell fire. He took his gun and aimed. He charged the barricades, rolling to dodge bullets, taking cover then shooting.
He aimed at nothing firing off bullet after bullet. He screamed in frustration, taking cover once again from more fire. Then he heard it.
"Aaaaaaaaaaa!" Connor, covered in blue blood, his jacket burned and his face scared ran out from where he was hiding and charged heading towards Markus. He rolled and slid beside his friend.
"We can't let them take it"
"Thank you Connor"
"Ready?"
"Always."
They charged, first running and then standing back to back, brown, yellow and orange blurring colours in their vision.
Soon, more androids joined them, making a circle around Connor and Markus.
A bomb exploded.
When Markus woke up, he was in a daze, ears ringing, he scrambled up, and saw Connor beside him, not moving.
A hand grabbed him and pulled him up, and Markus watch and as he and Connor and the rest of the Android were put in handcuffs and dragged off.
