Akiyo stopped when he and the girl landed in a dead end. He tugged his wrist from her hold,then shoved his hands in his pockets. The lady sighed,fixing her long white hair. "Akahana Shio... Do you know why she's not showing up for the whole week ?" The lady said. Akiyo blinked. "Wait… How did you know about that Soul Eater fanatic…"
"My name is Kotone. I am the goddess of the balance between life and death." Kotone sighed. "I know everyone's background. You're Akiyo Hoshi,16 years old,a teenager who hates anime you call 'cartoons'. Also rude around people,and to tell you,you just hurt Akahana Shio's feelings last week."
Kotone crossed her arms. Akiyo looked startled. "What…"
"You clearly know that Akahana has no one in this world. No friends,her parents are dead,and her other relatives don't even approve of her existence. Akiyo,she wanted to be friends with you but you turned her down. Causing her to… Agree with that deal.."
Akiyo looked confused. "Deal ?" Ke asked. Kotone nodded. "Akahana accepted a deal with the god of other dimensions. He said he'll take Akahana to the Soul Eater world,but she won't remember anything about the real world. And she accepted it,mainly because it's stated in her mind that no one would care if she leaves." She looked at the him,before sighing. "But she didn't know that she'll die. Once she stays there for long,she'll die. Both in the real world and in the Soul Eater world."
Kotone said with a serious tone. Akiyo blinked,looking at her plainly. "So… Why am i… Involved ?" He asked. Kotone placed her chin on her palm,smiling.
"You're going to follow after her,remind her of the real world,and get. her. back."
Akiyo's jaw dropped,startled. "W-what ?! Why me ?!" He exclaimed. Kotone smiled. "There's a charm inside you. Unlike Akahana,you can stay in the anime world as long as you want to. Yep,there's a time limit. But… You can fight it off without dying. That's why you're the only one to save her,without giving your own life."
Akiyo blinked. "I do ?" He scratched his head. "B-but how ?! How did I get that charm thing ?!"
With a slight grin, Kotone crossed her arms. "You hate that world, right ? Well, because you do, you are gifted… And cursed at the same time. When you get there, you'll absolutely wish to get back in the real world… While people, like Akahana, wouldn't.
